Brincks Exteriors Sports Report: Charlotte Schwabe Takes 5th At State Tennis

Girls State Tennis Individual Results 

Charlotte Schwabe of Kuemper finished a tremendous season for the Knights, finishing in 5th at the State Individual Tennis Tournament. Schwabe opened her Thursday morning with a two set win over Harika Cakinberk of North Polk. She only dropped one game, dominating the match with her ground strokes and her serve. She dropped one game in the 1st set, winning 6-1, then broke Cakinberk serve early in set two and rolled to a 6-0 win. The win moved her into the 5th place match against Kaitlyn Bjork of Decorah. The 5th place match was tight the entire match with both sets going into a tie-breaker after going 7-6. Schwabe won set one tie-breaker 7-4 and the set two tie-breaker 7-3 to earn 5th place.

Charlotte Schwabe of Kuemper won 6-1, 6-0 over Harika Cakinberk of North Polk

 

5th Place Match 

Charlotte Schwabe of Kuemper won 7-6 (7-4), 7-6 (7-3) over Kaitlyn Bjork of Decorah
