Volleyball Results Saturday, September 27th 

Carroll At Nevada Tournament 

Carroll competed on Saturday, battling in several sets but had a tough day, falling in all four matches and winning only one set at the Nevada Tournament. The Tigers won the opening set against Des Moines Christian 22-20 but fell in the next two sets. They dropped set one 21-18 to Norwald and lost set two to Bondurant Farrar 21-19.

Amanda Wardell led them with 18 kills with Kyra Hosenfelt and Analia Ayala both having 11 kills. Josie Rydl had 47 assists and 21 digs, adding 3 aces. Brylee Mrla had 23 digs, Analia Ayala with 17 digs and Aubrie Drake with 16 digs. Chloe Kock had a team high 3 blocks with Brylee Mrla, Analia Ayala and Amanda Wardell all serving 3 aces.

Carroll falls to 10-14 overall and will host Ballard on Tuesday.

Ar-We-Va, Audubon and IKM-Manning At Boyer Valley Tournament 

IKM-Manning went 4-1 in matches and 8-3 in sets, finishing in 2nd place. Audubon was 3-2 in matches and 6-5 in sets, taking 3rd place and Ar-We-Va was 0-5 in matches but earned their second set win of the season, going 1-10 in sets to take 6th place. The Wolves swept Audubon, Ar-We-Va and Boyer Valley, downed Denison Schleswig in three, falling to Missouri Valley in two sets. Audubon defeated Ar-We-Va and Denison Schleswig in two sets and edged by Boyer Valley in three, winning set three 15-7. The Wheelers lost to IKM-Manning and Missouri Valley, both in two. Ar-We-Va won set two against Denison Schleswig 21-12 but fell in three sets, losing set three 15-5. They lost matches to Audubon, IKM-Manning, Misouri Valley and Boyer Valley in two sets. The Wolves faced Missouri Valley in what was the championship match, dropping two tight sets, losing 23-21 and 21-17.

Keagan Eischeid, Addisyn Bandow and Anna Stangl  of IKM-Manning and Harlow Miller and Anna Larsen all made all-tournament.

Keagan Eischeid led IKM-Manning with 46 kills with Addisyn Bandow adding 30 kills and Ella Langel having 11 kills. Karlee Arp had 80 assists with 32 digs and a team high 10 aces. Anna Stangl had a team high 40 digs with Caylie Rasmussen having 22 digs, Keagan Eischeid 18 digs and Olivia Linde adding 17 digs. Keagan Eischeid in 6 aces and Olivia Linde added 5 aces.

Harlow Miller had a big day for Audubon, making 67 kills, 25 digs, 5 blocks and 6 aces. Anna Larsen added 80 assists, 30 digs and 11 aces, a team high. Kadence Brannan Sporrer had 18 kills, 29 Digs and 8 aces. Lucy Stanerson had 7 aces, Mackayla Zuniga had 13 assists and 44 digs, Maya King made 20 digs and Whitney Petersen had 4 blocks and 6 aces.

Annalee Wittrock had a team high 9 kills for Ar-We-Va, Gabbie Hundling with 8 kills and Mara Obrecht added 5 kills. Addion Bierl had 39 assists, Mara Obrecht had 9 digs and Annalee Wittrock added 14 blocks. Mara Obrecht had a team high 3 aces.

IKM-Manning improved to 18-4 and heads to the Tri Center Tournament on Saturday. Audubon sits 10-9 and travels to Treynor on Tuesday and Ar-We-Va falls to 0-20 and will host Glidden Ralston on Tuesday.

East Sac At HMS Tournament 

East Sac went 3-1, winning their pool before falling to Rock Valley in the semifinals. The day started with a splash as the Raiders downed Newell Fonda in two sets, winning the opening set 21-8. They edged out the second set 21-19. They had to rally to beet Trinity Christian in their second match, dropping the first set 21-19 but bounced back to win 21-17 and 15-7 to move to 2-0. The match with Sheldon also started with a loss in the opening set but the Raiders won back-to-back tight sets to win the match. They beat the Orabs 22-20 and 15-13 in the final two sets. The Raiders battled hard in the opening set against Rock Valley, losing 21-19 before falling in two sets.

Emerson Ludwig had a team high 22 kills with Katelyn Schmitt having 19 kills and Miranda Gerdes 16 kills and Jordin Carroll with 10 kills and 67 assists. Sarah Bontrager had an incredible day in the back row with 76 digs, Jordin Carroll had 45 digs, Tori Hauser 37 digs, Katelyn Schmitt 31 digs and Lilly Rodman with 23 digs. Emerson Ludwig and Jordin Carroll both had 4 blocks. Sarah Bontrager had a team high 7 aces with Lilly Rodman having 4 aces.

East Sac sits 13-9 overall and will head to SE Valley on Tuesday.

Paton Churdan and Perry At Panorama Triangular

Paton Churdan played their best volleyball of the season, knocking off Perry in two tight sets and falling to Panorama in two close sets. The Rockets earned their sweep against Perry with a 25-21 in opening set, then pulling out a 25-23 win to end the match, making some key plays down the stretch. They ended their day 1-1 with a well played loss to Panorama, falling 25-17 and 25-18.

Ella Tasler, Mia Russell, Alivya smith and Edynn Smith all had 4 kills. Tasler had a team high 7 assists, adding 11 digs and 5 aces. Edynn Smith had a team high 16 digs with Alivya Smith making 10 digs, Mia Russell had 9 digs and Maggie Reed added 7 digs. Alivya Smith added 3 aces. Isabella Rice played well at the net, getting several touches to help the back row.

The Rockets improved to 2-8 and travels to CAM on Tuesday.
