Glidden Ralston had a chance late but fell short as CAM rallied, outscoring the Wildcats 26-8 in the 4th quarter in a 54-46 Cougars win. The Wildcats responded well as CAM scored on a turnover early to take the lead. Glidden Ralston was moving the ball down field when CAM stripped the ball away and scored. The ground game was effective for the Wildcats, finishing with 314-yards rushing and five touchdowns and helped them claw back in immediately. They scored 14-points in a row to lead 14-6 at the end of the 1st quarter. Landon Rohrbeck was running the ball well, rushing for 206-yards on 23 carries, teaming with Colton Rohrbeck for 259-yards and five touchdowns. CAM fought back in the 2nd quarter, taking a brief lead but Glidden Ralston responded and led 22-20 at half. The Wildcats pushed the lead to ten early in the 3rd but they were struggling to contain Collin Bower ran for 81-yards but used his size in the passing game to catch 5 passes for 104-yards. Glidden Ralston has battled some injuries this season and began to wear down in the 2nd half but led 38-28 going into the 4th quarter. Zach Kaufman kept finding Bower in the passing game, going 14-18 for 206-yards and three touchdowns. They outscored Glidden Ralston 26-8 in the 4th quarter, though the Wildcats had a chance late, but weren’t able to score inside in the Cougars five.
Landon Rohrbeck had 206-yards rushing with 2 touchdowns and Colton Rohrbeck scored 3 touchdowns on the ground with 53-yards rushing. Alex Daniel had 9.5 tackles along with recovering a fumble for a touchdown and making an interception. Landon Rohrbeeck had a team high 10.5 tackles with 10 of them solo. Henry Sturm caught 5 passes for 38-yards. Dawson Majerus had a pair of sacks.
The Wildcats slip to 2-3 overall and 1-2 in 8-Man District 9. They head to Audubon on Friday.
