Kuemper fell on the road Wednesday in Regional Team action, seeing their team season come to an end in the first fall season. The Knights battled hard, losing sets, 6-4, 10-7 and 7-5. Charlotte Schwabe earned their only win, rolling to a 6-2, 6-1 win over Ava Andrew in the #1 singles spot. Bella Lu nearly gave Kuemper a second win, taking set two 6-4 in her match against Ava Underberg, but she fell in the 3rd set 10-7. Meredith Sturm battled in the #5 singles match against Olivia Andrew, falling 7-5 in set two. The match ended after singles with St Edmond earning the five wins they needed to advance to the Regional Final on Friday. Kuemper finished the day going 3-10 in sets and 34-58 in games, not including the set three loss by Lu.
Charlotte Schwabe will compete at State as an individual on October 1st and 2nd.
