Brincks Exteriors Sports Report: Carroll Barely Falls to Lewis Central on the Road

Carroll went down to Council Bluffs to take on Lewis Central in their final non-district matchup of the season. Carroll was hot off of the first win of the season over Humboldt last week. Lewis Central also got their first win over Harlan last week. Both teams came in at 1-2. Both teams have a solid defense and it really showed in the 1st. Carroll would strike 1st with 5:22 in the 1st to go up 7-0. The Titans would strike right back within 2 minutes to tie it up. This tie would roll over into the 2nd where the Titans would strike again and take their first lead of the night as they scored with 11 minute to go in the half. Carroll would score with 7 min left but miss a PAT to trail 14-13. This would be the final score of the half as the Titans took a 14-13 lead into the locker room. Both teams would score in the 3rd and Carroll would get a 2-PT to tie it up 21-21 going into the 4th. It would go back and forth until Carroll had an 80 yard pick six to go up but they would have a PAT blocked as they led 34-28. Lewis Central with 2 minutes to go would score and take a 35-34 lead. They would hold on to win as the Tigers fall to 1-3. All three loses come by one score.
