Girls Regional Individual Tournament Results
Kuemper At Boone- Class 1A Region 2
Charlotte Schwabe of Kuemper advances to State on Wednesday, advancing to the Regional Individual finals against Harika Cakinberk of North Polk. Schwabe cruised through her opening rounds, winning 6-0, 6-0 in the 1st round and the quarterfinals. She played outstanding tennis in a semifinal round win over Ally Thompson of Boone, only dropping one game on her way to a 6-1, 6-0 win. The meet was very long as the championship match didn’t end until around 10:00 PM with tournament having started around 9:00 in the morning. Schwabe started fast in the finals, winning the 1st set 6-0 but Cakinberk rallied to win the next two sets, 6-4 and 6-3. Bella Lu battled hard in her opening round match, falling 7-6, 7-6.
Meredith Sturm and Mirabel Abraham earned a win in their opening round match, topping Joy Bishwokarma and Lenora Pepin of Heelan 6-4, 2-6, 1-0 (5). They fell in the 2nd round to a team from Saydel. Regan Garringer and Riah Koenck fell in their opening round match, losing 7-5, 2-6, 1-0 (13).
Kuemper will host Iowa Falls-Alden Saturday in the opening round of the Class 1A Region 7 Team Tournament.

Audubon At Red Oak- Class 1A Region 1
Audubon earned a pair of wins in doubles but fell short of advancing a singles player or doubles team to state. Briley Belnap and Marie Boehm won their opening round match, rolling to a 6-1, 6-1 win over Kianna Herron and Averi Newman of Glenwood before falling in the quarterfinals 6-4 and 6-0. Vivian Jackson and Reagan Hoffman battled their way to a win in the opening round, winning 6-4, 6-2 over Anastacia Kay and Chloe Swenson of Harlan. They fell in the quarterfinals, losing 6-0, 6-2. MaKenna Nichols competed well in her singles match, losing 6-2, 6-4 in the opening round with Lena Rieman falling 6-0, 6-0 in her opening round match.
The Wheelers head to Atlantic on Saturday for the Class 1A Region 3 Team Tournament.
