Boys Cross Country Results Tuesday, September 16th

Kuemper At Storm Lake Invite

Kuemper had a strong night without Dayton Wiederien as they finished 8th overall with 209-points. Fletch Badding paced the Knights, taking 18th with a 18:08.59. Sioux Center claimed the team title with 43-points and Storm Lake was 2nd with 75-points. Sioux Center had four runners in the top 9. Gavin Weber of Algona won the meet with a 16:11.06. Thomas Pottebaum was 31st with a 18:38.42 for Kuemper and Oliver Vonnahme finished 44th with a 19:02.71.

East Sac and South Central Calhoun At Sioux Center

East Sac three runners in the top 10 and five in the top 20, helping them win the meet at Sioux Center on Tuesday. The Raiders scored 55-points, getting past Sioux Central, which was 2nd with 62-points with Lucos Wernimont winning the meet in 17:22.38 and Jack Christian in 2nd in 17:39.29. South Central Calhoun took 8th with their top four runners in the top 30. The Titans scored 146-points, led by Declan Spencer in 16th, running a 19:31.05. Landon Sporrer continues to pace a strong Raiders team, taking 4th with a 17:54.65. Riley Aragon was 6th with a 18:02.58 and Owen Engel was 8th in 18:13.62. Oliver Engel took 18th and Xander Hemer finished in 19th for East Sac. Joe Thielen was 24th for South Central Calhoun, running a 20:22.14 and Brent Thielen was 26th in 20:48.39 with Derek Greene taking 29th.

IKM-Manning At AHSTW

Akeo Maynard led a balanced IKM-Manning performance as the Wolves finished in 2nd place with their top four runners in the top 18 and all six of their runners finishing in the top 29. The Wolves scored 72-points, behind Shenandoah with 52-points but ahead of Tri Center with 77-points. Shenandoah has three runners in the top 9 and Tri Center had the champion in Haven Weers with a 16:20.3 and two runners taking 10th and 11th. Akeo Maynard was 12th for the Wolves with a 17:59.5, followed by Camden Morris in 13th in 18:03.6, Xaviore Diaz in 16th in 18:23.1 and Isaac Blankman finishing in 18th with a 18:37.3.
