Paton Churdan played with a new lineup on Monday, due to injuries, struggling in the opening set but settling in well as the match went on. The Rockets fell in 1st set, 25-4 but pushed the Tigers in the final two sets, falling 25-17 and 25-17. Freshman Edynn Smith moved into the setting role and performed very well. She was outstanding again defensively, passing extremely well and set some nice balls to her hitters. Freshman Chloe Happe had a strong night playing middle, getting a few blocks and touches along with a big kill. Happe serving has shined and she continued to serve well on Monday with a 100% serve efficiency. Alivya Smith added great leadership, moving to the outside, having a strong all-around match, leading them in kills and playing well in the back row.
The Rockets fell to 1-5 overall and 0-2 in the Rolling Valley. They travel to Exira-EHK next Tuesday.
