Carroll hosted ADM in a Racoon River matchup Tuesday night. Carroll came in .500 at 3-3 on the year while ADM was 11-2. Set 1, Carroll jumped out to a 2-0 lead before ADM struck back and went on a 9-1 run as they took a 9-3 lead. This lead would be held throughout the set 1. ADM took set 25-15. Carroll struggled with the attacks from Anna Holloway and the Tigers. Set 2’s start was the complete opposite as ADM jumped out to a 2-0 lead before Carroll got their first point. ADM would keep on the offensive end as they would go up 9-2 early. It would get closer as Carroll would strike and be within 5. ADM would push their lead to 10 and hold it all the way until they would pick up the 25-15 win in set 2. ADM had a 2-0 lead in sets going into the 3rd set of the evening. ADM would get a lead early and would hold on for the 25-18 win and the 3-0 sweep on the road. Carroll falls to 3-4 on the season with a tournament in Rockwell City Saturday Morning.

Kuemper and Clarinda At Denison Schleswig
Kuemper picked up a pair of Hawkeye 10 Conference wins on Tuesday at Denison, sweeping the Monarchs and topping Clarinda in four sets. The Knights pulled out three tight wins against Clarinda, giving them their second loss of the season. Clarinda took the 2nd set, edging Kuemper 27-25. Kuemper regained control of the match with a 25-21 win in set two. Kuemper steadily got better against Denison Schleswig, winning each set by a bigger score.
The Knights were balanced at the net with Mariah Heuton leading them with 24 kills, followed by Kolbi Peter with 21 kills, Addy Anthofer 18 kills and Zoe Brunning with 16 kills. Elsa Tiefenthaler and Sophie Lohrmann did a nice job moving the ball around with Tiefenthaler finishing with 53 assists to go with 8 kills and Lohrmann adding 28 assists. Kaylie Simons continues her outstanding play in the back row, leading the team with 45 digs with Sophie Lohrmann having 31 digs and Mia Milligan and Elsa Tiefenthaler both having 18 digs. Zoe Brunning had a team high 4 blocks with Mariah Heuton and Addy Anthofer both having 3 blocks. Elsa Tiefenthaler continues to serve extremely well, leading the Knights with 8 aces with Kolbi Peter with 6 aces and Mia Milligan with 4 aces.
The Knights improved to 10-1 overall. They head to the South Central Calhoun Tournament on Saturday.

First matchup was in favor of the Bulldogs 21-13. The Spartans relied heavily on Jaelynn and Taryn Petersen as they would both have well over 20 kill attempts in this matchup alone. The Spartans would get their win in the 2nd set, 21-18. They would unfortunately fall 15-9 in set 3 and end the evening at 1-2 with losses to IKM-Manning and Ogden.

IKM-Manning struggled at the net, hitting .121 they were able to control both sets against Ogden, earning a 2-0 sweep. The Wolves kept the Bulldogs out-of-system, forcing a lot of free balls and hitting errors. The Wolves were never in trouble in set one, earning a 21-13 win. They held the advantage in set two, picking up a 21-16 win.
Keagan Eischeid had a team high 8 kills with Addisyn Bandow adding 5 kills and Karlee Arp with 3 kills to go with 13 assists. The Wolves back row didn’t have a lot of activity with Anan Stangl leading the team with 3 digs. Addisyn Bandow had their only block and Keagan Eischeid led them with a pair of aces.

IKM-Manning had a big hitting match against Ar-We-Va while the Rockets played well in set two after struggling in set one. The Wolves earned the sweep, starting their night that turned into three sweeps. Ar-We-Va continued to grow and is figuring out how to compete late in sets. The Wolves hit .368 with Keagan Eischeid hitting .545 and Addisyn Bandow hitting .429. The Wolves dominated set one, winning 21-5 and won set two 21-11.
Karlee Arp had 12 assists for IKM-Manning with Keagan Eischeid leading them with 6 kills and Ella Langel had 5 kills. Addisyn Bandow and Caylie Rasmussen both had 3 aces and Olivia Linde had 4 digs.

Audubon pulled away late in set one, gaining momentum that helped them garner a sweep of Glidden Ralston on Tuesday. The Wildcats kept battling, grabbing leads several times in set one, taking an early lead in set two and nearly making a fantastic rally in set three, cutting a 11-point lead to 5-points before the Wheelers closed the door. The opening set was tight with nine lead changes and four ties before the Wheelers extended a 16-14 lead to 21-15. Abby Wanser started the run for the Wheelers with a kill with Riley Miller following with an ace. Allison Snyder pulled Glidden Ralston within 18-15 with a kill by Abby Wanser had another kill for Audubon, followed by two kills from Harlow Miller to push the Wheelers lead to 21-15. Allison Snyder added another kill for Glidden Ralston as the Wildcats pulled within 21-17. Harlow Miller had a kill, followed by back-to-back aces from Abby Wanser. The Wheelers took set one 25-17.
Audubon went up 6-1 in set two, scoring first on a kill by Anna Larsen. Glidden Ralston fought back, tying the set at 7 but Audubon responded pushing the lead to 10-7 on an ace by Harlow Miller. Bryn Renze scored on a kill for Glidden Ralston but Kadence Brannan Sporrer and Riley Miller had a kill with Sporrer having two. Lucy Stanerson had an ace and the Wheelers were up 14-8. Allison Snyder served an ace for Glidden Ralston pulling them within 14-11 but that would be as close as they got in set two. Anna Larsen had an ace to seal the win for Audubon, following a kill from Riley Miller.
The Wheelers took control in set three with Harlow Miller having two early kills as they built a 3-0 lead. Glidden Ralston battled back again and took a 6-5 lead after Allison Snyder tied it with a kill. Abby Wanser gave the Wheelers the lead and Kadence Brannan Sporrer put the Wheeler ahead for good with a kill, making it 8-7. Back-to-back aces from Riley Miller pushed the Wheelers lead to 17-7 as they were pulling away. The lead grew to 23-12 but Kassidy Wenck helped rally the Wildcats getting two aces and Bre Hartwigsen had a kill to cut the deficit to 24-19. Audubon closed out the match to win 25-19.
Harlow Miller led Audubon which had several players really shine. Miller had 16 kills and 3 aces. Abby Wanser was huge with 7 kills and 4 aces, Kadence Brannaon Sporrer added 7 kills and 14 digs and Anna Larsen added 30 assists and 7 digs with Madeline Derry finishing with 21 digs.
Kassidy Wenck paced the Wildcats with 9 kills with Allison Snyder adding 8 kills. Amelia Garrett finished with 13 assists and 11 digs with Wenck and Snyder both having 7 digs. Jenna Subbert added 4 blocks and Kassidy Wenck had 2 aces.
Audubon moves to 6-3 and will host Tri Center on Thursday. Glidden Ralston falls to 2-4 and hosts Paton Churdan on Thursday.
