Weston Toft saved the touchdown, then made key stops on 2nd and 4th down, forcing a turnover on downs. Ar-We-Va was forced to punt and Landon Rohrbeck hit Dawson Majerus down the right sideline, setting up a 5-yard run by Colton Rohrbeck. The Wildcats failed on their 2-point conversion and they led 14-0 at half.

Glidden Ralston appeared to blow the game open on the opening kickoff of the 2nd half but the touchdown was called back for a block in the back and the Wildcats would be forced to punt three plays later. The Rockets trailed 14-7 with 8:50 left in the 3rd quarter. Glidden Ralston couldn’t get the offense going in the 2nd half and punted on their next possession and fumbled on their third possession of the 2nd half, recovered by Weston Toft. Ar-We-Va failed to capitalize, turning it over on downs on both possessions. Another Wildcat punt, giving Ar-We-Va the ball on their own 20-yard line with 6:26 left in the 4th quarter opened the door for the Rockets. Ar-We-Va stubbed their toes with a couple penalties but kept getting a 1st down to keep the drive alive. They faced a 4th down from the Wildcats 36-yard line when Wyatt Ragaller rolled left and broke a tackle, cutting back to his right. He found a seam and scampered for the touchdown, cutting the deficit to 14-13. Ar-We-Va quickly went for two and Ragaller dove into the endzone, giving Ar-We-Va their first lead with 2:01 left.
