Kuemper At Humboldt Tournament
Kuemper went 3-1 on Saturday, earning three nice wins along with suffering their first loss of the season. The Knights were 7-3 in sets with all three set losses coming by two points. Their closest win was 21-18 with every other win 21-15 or larger. Kuemper swept Fort Dodge and South Hardin, holding the Dodgers in single digits in both sets and holding South Hardin to 15 or under in both sets. The Knights depth helped them earn a tight win over a good Emmetsburg club, winning the opening set 21-11, dropping set two 20-22 but winning the final set 15-11. The lone loss was to Humboldt as Kuemper lost sets one and three 21-19 and 16-14 respectively, wrapped around a 21-18 win in set two.
Kolbi Peter paced the Knights offensive attack with 27 kills, followed by Mariah Heuton with 25 kills, Brianna Wittrock 17 kills and Addy Anthofer with 15 kills. Elsa Tiefenthaler had a strong all-around day with 82 assists to go with 9 kills, 15 digs and 3 aces. Kaylie Simons was fantastic in the back row with 70 digs, Mia Milligan added 30 digs and Sophie Lohrmann had 18 digs. Brianna Wittrock had a team high 7 blocks with Mariah Heuton, Zoe Brunning, Kolbi Peter and Millie Anthofer all having 3 blocks. Mia Milligan had a team high 5 aces and Kolbi Peter with 4 aces.
The Knights sit 8-1 on the season. They will head to Denison Schleswig along with Clarinda on Tuesday.

Audubon At South Central Calhoun Tournament
South Central Calhoun and Audubon both went 4-2 in matches on the day with the Titans topping the Wheelers in their matchup. South Central Calhoun went 9-5 in sets with Audubon finishing 8-6 in sets. The Titans topped Perry 2-0, South Hamilton 2-0 and Audubon 2-0 while knocking off Pocahontas Area 2-1, losing the second set 22-20 after winning set one 21-8. They controlled the third set 15-7. South Central Calhoun fell to Manson NW Webster to open their morning, falling 2-1 with a 15-10 loss in the third set. They struggled early in set one and late in set two in a 2-0 loss to Spencer. Audubon knocked off Perry and South Hamilton 2-0, downed Spencer and Pocahontas Area both 2-1 while losing to South Central Calhoun and Manson NW Webster both 2-0. The Wheelers fell down early in set one against Manson NW Webster and lost 21-11 but played much better, giving them a chance to win set two, falling 21-18. A pair of hard fought wins led to their win over Spencer, winning set one 21-19 and set three 17-15. After falling set one against Pocahontas Area the Wheelers rolled to a 21-11 and 15-5 wins.
Sadie Wheelock and Blair Schleisman topped the Titans with 36 and 34 kills respectively. Olivia Wiese added 28 kills. Sydney Stuart had 93 assists along with 23 digs. Morgan McChesney paced the backrow with 52 digs with Macie Dorman having 44 digs and Blair Schleisman and Olivia Wiese both with 40 digs. Sadie Wheelock had a team high 6 blocks, Olivia Wiese led them with 8 aces with Morgan McChesney with 6 aces and Macie Dorman and Sadie Wheelock both having 4 aces.
Harlow Miller had a team high 33 kills for Audubon, Kadence Brannan Sporrer added 23 kills, Anna Larsen 12 kills and Abby Wanser 10 kills. Larsen added 63 assists, 30 digs and 7 aces. Kadence Sporrer paced the team with 38 digs, Madeline Derry had 35 digs and Harlow Miller with 24 digs. Abby Wanser led the team with 5 blocks to go with 4 aces, Kadence Sporrer had 6 aces and Harlow Miller and Riley Miller both finished with 4 aces.
The Titans are 6-3 overall and will host Alta-Aurelia on Thursday. Audubon sits 5-3 overall and entertains Glidden Ralston and Madrid on Tuesday with the Glidden Ralston game on 93.7 KKRL.

East Sac At Ridge View Classic
The Raiders won their pool, taking two of the three matches they played with two of them lasting three sets. They advanced to the finals, defeating host school Ridge View in the semifinals, advancing into a rematch with OABCIG in the finals. The Raiders beat OABCIG in pool play, winning in three. They dropped the first set 24-22 but won the second set by the same score. East Sac earned the win with a 15-10 third set victory. After a loss to Westwood in three, winning set one 21-13, then falling in sets two and three, they would sweep MMCRU to win their pool with a 2-1 record. East Sac won a semifinal match over Ridge View in three, dropping set one but winning sets two and three 25-20 and 16-14 to advance to a rematch against OABCIG. East Sac fell in two sets to the Falcons.
Emerson Ludwig led the Raiders in kills with 40 and blocks with 13. They were balanced attacking behind Ludwig with Katelyn Schmitt having 28 kills, Miranda Gerdes 24 kills and Sarah Bontrager 17 kills. Jordin Carroll ended the day with 101 assists, 31 digs and 3 blocks. Sarah Bontrager had a team high 43 digs, followed by Lily Rodman with 33 digs, Tori Hauser 21 digs and Katelyn Schmitt 27 digs with Brooke Burns adding 22 digs. Lily Rodman and Sarah Bontrager both had 6 aces with Brooke Burns and Katelyn Schmitt having 4 aces.
The Raiders are 6-5 overall and will host West Bend Mallard on Thursday.
