Boys Cross Country Results 

Kuemper At Spirit Lake Invite 

Kuemper had another strong showing at a tough meet in Spirit Lake on Thursday, taking 6th with 176 points, edging Okoboji by one point. Sioux Center dominated the team standings with 50 points, having four runners in the top 12. Storm Lake was 2nd with 97 points, followed by Forest City with 100 points. Dayton Wiederien continued his strong start to the season, taking 8th to lead the Knights. Wiederien ran a 17:23.96. Fletch Badding was 22nd for the Knights, running a 17:48.63. Isaac Hummel of MOC Floyd Valley was the champion, running a 16:43.13.

South Central Calhoun At East Sac Invite 

East Sac ran away with the team title at the first ever East Sac Cross Country Invite. The Raiders had the top four individual finishers and five of the top six, finishing with 16 points. South Central Calhoun, a young team, ran well with runners bunching up to finish 7th, 8th, 9th and 10th. The Titans were 2nd in the team race with 46 points. Newell Fonda took 3rd with 65 points. Landon Sporrer dominated the race on Thursday for East Sac, winning by nearly a minute, running a 17:28.77. Owen Engel had a strong race, taking 2nd in 18:23.12 with Riley Aragon right behind him with a 18:23.64. Oliver Engel had a great close to his race, blowing past the runner in front of him in the final 40 meters to take 4th in 19:03.32. Xander Hemer added a 6th place for the Raiderse in 20:11.34. Declan Spencer paced South Central Calhoun with a 20:18.90, taking 7th. Right behind Spencer were Titan teammates Logan Rubendall in 8th in 20:37.27, Joe Thielen in 9th in 21:27.03 and Brent Thielen in 10th in 21:30.65.

Ar-We-Va and IKM-Manning At LoMa 

IKM-Manning had four runners in the top 20, helping them finish in 3rd at LoMa on Thursday. The Wolves held off St Albert 80 points to 81 points. Denison Schleswig won the meet with 67 points, just ahead of Boyer Valley with 70 points. Camden Morris paced the Wolves in 9th place with a 18:14.45, Akeo Maynard was 17th in 19:08.80, Nathanael Conner 19th in 19:13.70 and Xaviore Diaz took 20th in 19:37.44. Jacob Hanson was Ar-We-Va’s lone runner, taking 58th in 23:05.49.
