Glidden-Ralston hosted a varsity baseball and softball matchup with Boyer Valley on Monday. The Wildcats have had a successful season so far and tonight was more of the same. The Wildcats held Boyer Valley to 0 runs and 1 hit on the night. Glidden had 4 in the 1st, 3 in the 2nd, and 3 in the 3rd as they had four girls score 2 and two girls score 1. Jaelyn Subbert pitched all 4 and gave up 1 hit and 9 K’s.

Exira-EHK-Audubon took on a ranked Woodbine team on Monday. Exira-EHK-Audubon is red hot off of a win over Missouri Vally on Friday. Woodbine batted first and scored a run in their lone hit of the 1st. EEHKA batted 2nd and they would score Anna Larsen and Abby Wanser to take a 2-1 lead after 1. Woodbine would string a couple hits but would be left stranded and EEHKA would go 3 up and 3 down to remain at 2-1. Both teams would fail to score or have much offense in the next inning. Woodbine would get 1 in the 4th. EEHKA would explode with 6 runs during the 5th to take a 8-2 lead. Woodbine would fall short in the 7th as they only get 2 and fall 8-4.

Glenwood at Kuemper Game 1

Kuemper hosted Glenwood in a varsity doubleheader and senior night on Monday. Glenwood batted 1st and got 2 runs off of 3 hits and 2 walks. Kuemper would follow that up with a run of their own as Charlotte Schwabe scored for the Knights. The Rams held the Knights to one hit with Charlotte Schwabe having a single in the 1st. Glenwood added another 3 runs in the 2nd. The Knights would go 3 and out in the next 2 innings and the Rams led 5-0. Glenwood’s scoring was 1 in the 3rd, 2 in the 4th and 2 in the 5th to close out a 10-1 win on the road.

Kuemper and Glenwood faced off in the 2nd part of their double header. It was a better offensive game for the Knights as they had 5 more hits. Neither team has much offense until the 4th inning. Glenwood went 3 in out in the 1st and 2nd and had 1 walk in the 3rd. Kuemper had a single from Kaylie Wolterman than 3 innings with 3 outs. Glenwood would strike first with 2 runs in the 4th inning. They would add 2 more in the 6th to go up 4-0. Kuemper would rally in the bottom of the 7th as Claire Venner and Ellee Schreck would score. The Knights would fall short and lose 4-2.

Carlisle hosted Carroll in a Racoon River matchup on Monday. It was a slow offensive night for the Tigers. Bailey Bowman had  one hit in the 4th for the Tigers. Emma Danner had the other hit in the 4th.  The game lasted about 4 innings as a ranked Carlisle team as they would get 22 runs and end the game with a 22-0 win.

They had 2 walks in the 4th and a HBP in the 3rd as they totalled no hits and just the 3 walks. Carlisle had 4 runs in the 1st and 12 in the 2nd as they won 16-0 in 3 innings. They would sweep the night as the Tigers fall to 1-22 on the year with a matchup vs Kuemper on Tuesday.
