East Sac baseball went on the road and took on West Bend Mallard on Friday night. It was a highly offensive game with 17 combined runs between the two programs. Each inning had a run scored. East Sac started all of it off in the 1st with a run to take a 1-0 lead. West Bend Mallard struck back with 2 runs of their own to take back the lead 2-1 after 2. The Raiders would score a run each in the 3rd and 4th innings to take a 3-2 lead after 4. WBM tied it back up with a run in the 5th as the game was knotted up 3-3. The Raiders would add another 2 runs in the top of the 6th while WBM had only 1. East Sac led 5-4 after 6 and batted 1st in the 7th. The Raiders tied the game together with a big 5 run 7th inning. They would hold WBM to 3 as they win the game 10-7 on the road.

Lewis Central and Kuemper faced off in a Hawkeye 10 matchup. Lewis Central batted 1st and scored both their 1st and 4th batters. They jumped early to a 2-0 lead after 1. The Titans defense held strong on the night as they gave up 1 hit to Aaron McDermott in the 3rd inning and 1 to Mason Knerl in the 6th. Lewis Central would add another run in the 2nd and one in the 4th to take a 4-0 lead. They would add their final 3 in the 7th to pick up the 7-0 win on the road.

South Central Calhoun had a short drive to take on Southeast Valley. Southeast Valley had a great 1st inning as the Jaguars picked up 5 runs and jumped out to a 5-0 lead after 1. Both teams would fail to score in the 2nd. South Central Calhoun would pick up their offense in the 3rd as they would pick up 2 of their 4 runs in the game. Tucker Berner had a nice offensive night for the Titans as he scored 2 of the 4 himself. SCC would add their final 2 runs in the 4th. SE Valley would score 1 in the 3rd and 1 in the 6th to pick up the 7-4 win at home.

Audubon hosted Missouri Valley for baseball on Friday. Missouri Valleys offense started early as they would cross 2 runs in the 1st inning and 1 in the 2nd to take a 3-0 lead after 2. The offense would not slow their as they would add another 8 runs in the top of the 3rd to take a 11-0 lead in the top of the 3rd. In the bottom of the 3rd, Carson Wessel hit a fly ball into right field and Brody Schultes would score to get the 1st run for the Wheelers. They would score another in the bottom of the 4th with Jace Stanerson. Missouri Valley would add two more to pick up the 13-2 win.

Carroll hosted Boone in a makeup game from Monday. It was restarted in the 4th as Boone led 1-0. Carroll would get 2 runs in the bottom of the 4th to take a 2-1 lead after 4. Boone heated up on the offensive end between Monday and now. They would add 3 runs in the 5th with Carroll adding 2 and tying it up 4-4. Boone would add 4 runs in the 6th and 5 in the 7th to dominate the back half of the game and win 13-4 in the makeup game.

Boone and Carroll faced off again in the same day directly after their first matchup. Both teams kept eachother scoreless in the 1st and 2nd as they have seen eachother in back to back games. Boone would find their offense again in the 3rd as they scored 6 runs and took a 6-0 lead after 3. Boone’s pitcher was one HBP away from a perfect game but none the less through a no hitter. Carroll struggled at the plate in the 2nd game. Boone added 4 more runs in the 6th to pick up the 10-0 win on the road and sweep the doubleheader.

Coon Rapids Bayard got out quickly with 3-runs in the 1st inning and 4-runs in the 2nd inning on their way to their 19th win of the season. The Wolves settled in as the game went on, holding Coon Rapids Bayard to 6-hits. Parker Hays had a 2 RBI double for Coon Rapids Bayard, adding a sac fly for 3 RBI. Cal Heydon tripled and was outstanding on the bases with 5 stolen bases and scoring 3 runs. Tyler Mohr added a 2-run home run and Caden Oswald drove in a run with a sac fly.

Jackson Gross drove in Landon Petersen in the 3rd inning as Carroll grabbed the first lead of the game. The Tigers wore down as the game went, playing their third game of the day and Greene County bats heated up. The Rams tied the game in the 4th and took the lead in the 5th with 4-runs. Carroll had baserunners after the 3rd but weren’t able to stretch hits together, finishing with 6-hits. The Rams pitching was tough all game, only walking two batters,  limiting the baserunners for Carroll. Greene County added 5-runs in the bottom of the 6th to separate themselves from the Tigers.

Landon Petersen led Carroll with a pair of hits and scored a run while Jackson Gross added a hit and an RBI and Stone Sibenaller had a base hit and stole a pair of bases. Chase Schable went 5 innings, allowing 5 hits and 6 earned runs.

The Tigers went 0-3 on Friday, falling to 7-14 overall. They head to Carlisle for a varsity doubleheader on Monday.
