The IKM-Manning School Board voted 6-0 on Monday to move from the Western Iowa Conference to the Rollin Valley Conference for the 2026-2027 School Year. Wolves Athletic Director Cory McCarville says there were a lot of pros and cons that were discussed, but one pro had the most weight.
He says a con of the move was concerns about games at the junior high and JV levels.
Another concern was getting enough challenging games. He says that is the AD’s responsibility to make sure the schedule fits their teams needs.
McCarville says there was another factor.
McCarville says they approved the move for the 2026-2027 school because that was the invite dates they received from the Rolling Valley Conference.
