IKM-Manning hosted Missouri Valley on Tuesday for baseball. They got in a full game before the weather came through Iowa during the late evening. IKM-Manning fell behind early as after the 1st inning Missouri Valley led 1-0. IKM-Manning fought back in the 2nd inning with a run of their own to tie it 1-1. Both teams held eachother scoreless in the 3rd. Missouri Valley had a good 4th as they added another run to find the lead again this time 2-1. In the top of the 5th, Missouri Valley added another and took a 3-1 lead going into the bottom of the 5th. IKM-Manning turned up the heat in the bottom of the 5th as they have a huge 4 run 5th inning to make it 5-3. Both teams failed to score in the 6th and 7th as IKM-Manning picks up a huge 5-3 win.

Audubon hosted Riverside on Tuesday. Audubon came in 4-9 while Riverside was 2-10. Audubon started the game off hot with a run from Brody Schultes in the 1st inning. They followed that up with 3 more runs in the 2nd inning. Jorgen Nowatzke scored off an RBI from Ryan Hermansen. Adam Obrecht took off from 3rd on a wild pitch with Ryan Hermansen scores in the same fashion right after to make it 4-0 after 2 Innings of play. Riverside in the 3rd scored two runs to close the gap 4-2. Carson Wessel and Jorgen Nowatzke score in the bottom of the 3rd to make it a 6-2 ballgame. In the bottom of the 4th Carson Wessel and Brody Schultes scored for the Wheelers as they continued their hot start with an 8-2 lead. Riverside would score 3 more in the last couple innings as they fall 9-5 on the road.

Coon Rapids-Bayard hosted a non conference opponent in Newell-Fonda on Tuesday. CRB came in at 14-2 and ranked in 1A. Mason Culbertson pitched all 7 innings and started the 1st with two strikouts and a groundout ended that top of the 1st. For the Crusaders Ty Heydon reached off of an error and Jace Baker had a single. They would be left stranded as both teams reamained scoreless after 1. Culbertson picked up where he left off with 2 more strikeouts to during the 2nd inning before a a groundout ended the top of the 2nd. CRB had Eli McAlister reahc on a single and stole 2nd but he was left stranded as the Crusaders got 3 outs around him to remain scoreless after 2. The Mustangs had little offense in the top of the 3rd. CRB showed why they have been ranked all season as Cal Heydon hit a deep shot into right field and hit a triple. He would score the next at bat as Ty Heydon would hit an RBI single. Parker Hays would reach after on a fielders choice. He would steal 2nd and 3rd before Jace Baker batted him in with a single. The Crusaders closed the 3rd inning up 2-0. Newell-Fonda would fail to score during the game as Culbertson gave up just 2 hits and struckout 10. CRB would have a big 4th inning as they batted 8 through the lineup with Mason Culbertson and Max Shirbroun scoring. The Crusaders went 3 up and 3 down in a shorter 5th inning. They would than spark their offense back up with Eli McAlister and Cal Heydon scoring to close the game and win it 6-0.
The Crusaders improve to 15-2 on the year with a game vs Woodbine on the road on Wednesday.
