Bailey Bowman drove in Tahlia Hahn in the 4th inning as Carroll fell on the road at Bondurant Farrar. The Blue Jays jumped out early, scoring 11-runs in the 1st inning. Carroll settled in over the next two innings with Kyra Hosenfelt in the circle. She allowed just 6 hits and  held the Blue Jays to 3-runs in the 2nd and 3rd innings.

Kyra Hosenfelt and Chloe Koster both had a base hit for Carroll with Tahlia Hahn scoring their run and Bailey Bowman had an RBI.

The Tigers fall to 0-9 overall with a road trip to Winterset on Thursday.

Coon Rapids Bayard started quick and led 2-1 after the 1st inning but Ar-We-Va sent eighteen batters to the plate in the 2nd inning, scoring 12-runs to take command of the game. Both teams finished with five hits with Coon Rapids Bayard having a pair of extra base hits. Ar-We-Va was able to take advantage of thirteen walks and four hit-by-pitches. Amber Ragaller settled in a pitched really well for the Rockets as they earned their second straight win.

Anna Hart singled and scored on a triple by Aubrey Hofbauer in the 1st inning. Hofbauer scored later in the inning and Coon Rapids Bayard was up 2-0. Ar-We-Va nearly took the lead in the bottom 1st. Gabby Hundling singled and scored on a wild pitch. The Rockets loaded the bases with no outs but Jaymee Kracht struck out the next three batters to end the threat. The Rockets got three straight walks to start the 2nd inning and took advantage of the bases loaded. They collected three hits and were walked ten times along with having two hit-by-pitches in the inning, sending eighteen batters to the plate. Morgan Berg had a 2 RBI single, Annalee Wittrock had a 2 RBI single and Emma Leiting had an RBI single in the 2nd inning. The Rockets added a pair of runs in the 3rd and lead 15-2 going to the top 4th. Coon Rapids Bayard cut into the deficit with Emily Booth and Sophie Jones both scoring with Anna Hart driving in a run with a double. A popup to short ended the rally and the game.

Gabby Hundling had a pair of RBI and scored 3 runs for Ar-We-Va with Emma Leiting scoring twice, Hallie McCollough had an RBI and scored 2 runs. Morgan Berg had a hit and drove in a pair of RBI. Sarah Melton drove in 2 RBI and scoreed 3 runs with Annalee Wittrock with a pair of RBI and scoring a run. Amber Ragaller earned the win, going 4 innings, allowing 4 hits with 2 earned runs on 4 strikeouts.

Anna Hart had two hits with a double, an RBI and scored a run with Aubrey Hofbauer had a triple, an RBI and scored a run. Sophie Jones added and hit and scored a run for the Crusaders.

Ar-We-Va moves to 2-1 and hosts Glidden Ralston on Thursday. Coon Rapids Bayard falls to 0-9 and will travel to Lenox on Thursday.

The game was a pitching dual for four innings before both teams broke through with 3-runs in the 5th inning. Glidden Ralston struck first, but more importantly they struck last, scoring 3-runs in the 6th to win 6-3. The Wildcats bats were rolling most of the game, collecting fourteen hits. They left eleven runners on base. Jaelyn Subbert was strong in the circle, giving up 6 hits and holding the Chargers over the final two innings.

Kassidy Wenck had a big night at the plate, going 5-5 while scoring 1 run. Jenna Subbert had 3 hits and scored 2 runs. Jaelyn Subbert had a home run, drove a pair of RBI and scored a run. She added the win, going 7 innings, allowing 6 hits with 3 earned runs with 8 strikeouts. Olivia Squibb added a pair of hits with a double and an RBI and Kennedy Thooft had a pair of hits.

The Wildcats improved to 5-1 overall and will head to Ar-We-Va on Thursday.

The Spartans can’t seem to catch a break this season. They took a 2-0 lead in the 1st inning and held it until LoMa tied the game in the 5th with a run. The Panthers took their first and only lead in the 7th, then held on to win the game 3-2, sending the Spartans to their fourth straight loss.

Anna Larsen walked to leadoff the bottom 1st and scored on a triple by Taryn Petersen in her first at-bat of the season. Petersen scored moments later on a sacrifice by Riley Miller. Zoey Rasmussen singled with 2-outs and Abby Wanser got on base but the Spartans didn’t score again. Exira-EHK-Audubon had a few baserunners over the next few innings but didn’t advance anyone past 1st base until the 7th. Anna Larsen singled with 2-outs in the 7th and moved to 2nd but the Spartans weren’t able to score the tying run. LoMa had two baserunners though three innings with neither of them advancing past 1st base. They broke through in the 4th, getting two runners on with 2-outs and scored on a Spartan error. They tied the game in the top 5th, getting a key hit with 2-outs in the inning. LoMa grabbed the lead in the 7th, getting back-to-back hits with 2-outs to score the lead run.

Anna Larsen had a base hit and scored a run. Taryn Petersen tripled and scored while Zoey Rasmussen and Bryli Petersen both had a base hit. Riley Miller took the loss but went 7 innings, allowing 6 hits and 1 earned run with 8 strikeouts.

IKM-Manning played extremely well on the road Wednesday but fell short in extra innings against a undefeated Griswold team. The Wolves scored a run in both the 2nd and 4th innings, tying the game at 2. It remained tied through seven innings and went extra innings. Keagan Eischeid was outstanding in the circle as the Wolves held Griswold to their lowest scoring game of the season. It was only the third time in ten games they were held to single digits and the first time they scored less than 5-runs this season. The game ended with a 2-run walk off home run by Ailey Wahlert, giving the Tigers a 4-2 win.

Keagan Eischeid had her best game of the season, earning 3 hits with an RBI at the plate. Eischeid went 7 1/3 innings, allowing 8 hits and 3 earned runs with 13 strikeouts. Kadynce Ketcham had a pair of hits and an RBI. Hannah McKinney doubled and scored and Karlee Arp doubled and scored.

The loss drops the Wolves to 4-6 overall as they head to Exira-EHK-Audubon on Thursday.

Lilly Lode ignited a rally in the 3rd beating out an infield single to spark the offense. Addisen Ehler hit a 2-run bomb to the opposite field in the 4th and East Sac battled back from a slow start to take a 5-4 lead. They had to rally to tie the game late, then surrendered the lead with an error in the top 7th, falling 7-6 to GTRA. The Titans scored a pair of earned runs in the 1st, though the Raiders could have gotten out of the inning unscathed. They added a pair of runs in the 3rd, then got back-to-back singles in the 5th, scoring a pair of runs on outs in the infield to take the lead. A 2-out single in the 7th and two stolen bases sent up the game winning run.

The Raiders had a chance to answer the 2-runs by GTRA in the bottom 1st, getting a single from Chloe Bieret and Lauryn Lally reaching on an error. They were stranded on base and the Raiders trailed 2-0. Lilly Lode ignited the offense in the 3rd, beating out a ground ball on the infield for an infield single. Addisen Ehler sacrficed Lode to 2nd and reached on an error when GTRA didn’t cover 1st base. Chloe Biert walked and Makenna Steiger doubled, scoring Lode and Ehler. Lauryn Lally added an RBI single to score Steiger and East Sac pulled within 4-3.  They  took their only lead of the game in the 4th with Jordin Carroll, who just made great defensive play, earning a walk. Addisen Ehler drove the ball over the right-centerfield fence for a 2-run home run and East Sac led 5-4. East Sac answered the pair of runs by GTRA in the top 5th with a run in the bottom half. Lauryn Lally walked and scored on a ground out by Miranda Gerdes. The Raiders had the lead run in Sarah Bontrager, who walked at 3rd when the inning ended. After GTRA scored an unearned run in the 7th, the Raiders started a rally with Lauryn Lalley and Sarah Bontrager both singled with 1-out. They were stranded on base with GTRA getting back-to-back strikeouts to end the game.

The Titans played their best game of the season and didn’t get a chance to earn their first win of the season as the game was called due to lightening after 5 innings with South Central Calhoun down 8-6. The Titans had scored a pair of runs in the 5th and scored on four of the five innings they batted. They took a 2-0 lead in the top 1st and led 3-2 after two innings. West Bend Mallard took the lead for good with a 4-run 3rd, then extended their lead, scoring a pair of runs in the bottom 4th to answer a run by South Central Calhoun in the top 1st. The Titans had a run in the top 2nd and in the 4th, then scored twice in the 5th before the game was called due to the weather.

Mikelle Heinrichs had a pair of singles for South Central Calhoun and Riley Jacobs added a 2-run single with Lilly Sewick getting on base all three plate appearances.

The Titans fall to 0-8 on the season and host Emmetsburg on Friday.
