Carroll at Bondurant-Farrar

Carroll had a Racoon River Conference matchup on the road in Bondurant-Farrar. Bondurant earned 3 runs in the first as they kept a good pace on offense throughout the night. Carroll had a couple hits throughout the night but were slow at the plate. Bondurant went scoreless in the 2nd than got 1 in the 3rd. Both teams would be scoreless again until Bondurant got 4 runs in the 6th inning to complete at 8-0 win at home over the Tigers.

Coon Rapids-Bayard went to Westside to take on Ar-We-Va. CRB played a solid game as well as AWV as after the 1st they were scoreless. CRB found the bats in the 2nd as they got two across the plate. The Crusaders would keep the pace up as they would score 1 in the 3rd and 5 in the 4th. CRB would than get 1 in the 6th and 7th as AWV would get theirs in the 7th. AWV falls to 1-4 and CRB gets to 11-1.

South Central Calhoun baseball was on the road tonight to take on West Bend Mallard. SCC came into tonight at 5-4 while West Bend Mallard was 2-6. Both teams held eachother scoreless in the 1st as a good defensive inning. SCC would score 1 in the top of the 2nd to take a 1-0 lead early. West Bend Mallard would respond with 3 runs of their own to go up 3-1. SCC would score in the 4th and 7th to tie it but a 6th inning run put the Wolverines over tonight 4-3.

East Sac hosted GTRA on Wednesday. It was a great game between two teams who wanted a win in a heavy start to the season. GTRA opened the game with a run on the board but the Raiders matched with 3 to go up 3-1 in the 1st inning. Both teams would fail to score in the 2nd inning. GTRA would climb back with a run in the 3rd to make it 3-2 in favor of East Sac.. GTRA and East Sac would trade blows in the 5th with the Titans getting 4 and the Raiders getting 3, This would be the final inning of scoring for the Raiders but GTRA would get 5 more in two innings it win it 11-6.

Glidden-Ralston went to ACGC on Wednesday for some baseball. Glidden’s offense struggled early as they went scoreless in the 1st. ACGC had a good night at the plate as they picked up a 3-0 lead after 2 innings of play. ACGC would score in every inning besides 2 as they found a spark at the plate. ACGC would get 1 run un the 4th and 4 in the 6th as that is how they got to the 8 runs of the night. Glidden-Ralston scored 2 in the 6th and 1 in the 7th as they fell 8-3 on the road.

Audubon hosted West Central Valley in baseball on Wednesday. Audubon came into tonight with 1 win and have a very strong home stretch ahead of them. Both teams opened the 1st 2 innings scoreless as it was more defensive minded early. The Wildcats would strike first with 2 runs in the 3rd to take a commanding 2-0 lead early. In the top of the 5th the Wildcats would get 3 more runs and be up 5-0 going into the bottom of the 5th. Audubon would strike as they gain 4 runs in the 5th and 1 in the 6th to trail 6-5 with 1 inning left. Audubon would than score and tie in the bottom of the 7th before a walk off single to win it 7-6.
