Kuemper started quickly, building an 8-0 lead they scored a pair late to hold on as St Albert rallied to within three late. The Knights held on, getting a big night at the plate as a team, led by Charles Mayhall along with a strong night on the hill by Tristan Janson. The Knights finished with 14 hits, driving in 10 runs with eight of the nine starters getting at least one hit. Both defenses made some excellent plays but also hurt their pitchers with untimely errors that led to a combined seven unearned runs scored. Kuemper scored 3-runs in the 1st and 5-runs in the 3rd to lead 8-0. St Albert chipped away and trailed 8-4 going into the bottom 6th. Kuemper added a pair of insurance runs but St Albert fought back with a 2-out 3-run double in the 7th to cut the deficit to 10-7.
Kuemper turned a nice 4-6-3 double play to end the top of the 1st and used that momentum to start quick on offense. They came out swinging, looking for strikes early in the count. A leadoff single by Tristan Janson set the stage in the 1st inning. Aaron McDermott singled and Janson scored, putting the Knights up 1-0. Charles Mayhall drove in McDermott with a double, the first of three doubles for him. Noah Reiman capped the scoring, singling to score Mayhall. St Albert went in order in the 2nd and 3rd innings and Kuemper struck in the bottom 3rd. Charles Mayhall had his second double and scored on a single by Landon Pottebaum. Alex Pudenz knocked in Noah Reiman and Ryan Sundrup, putting Kuemper up 6-0. Thomas Pottebaum added an RBI single and Tristan Janson doubled to score Pottebaum and Kuemper led 8-0. The Falcons got on the board in the 4th with a walk and a double, then added 3-runs in the 5th, highlighted by a 2-run double by Owen Marshall. The Knights tacked on a couple insurance runs in the 6th with Landon Pottebaum singling to score Aaron McDermott and Charles Mayhall, who collected his third double. The Knights were up 10-4 entering the 7th and St Albert made it interesting, scoring 3-runs on a double off the wall by Cole Hobbs with 2-outs. Ryan Sundrup entered the game for Kuemper on the hill and got the final out, giving Kuemper a 10-7 win.
Charles Mayhall had 3-2B’s and scored a run. Thomas Pottebaum had 3 hits with an RBI and scored 1 run. Tristan Janson had a pair of hits with a double, an RBI and scored a run. Janson earned the win, going 6 2/3 innings, allowing 7 hits and 4 earned runs with 4 strikeouts. Landon Pottebaum had a pair of hits and drove in 3 runs.
Kuemper moves to 9-6 overall and will head to Atlantic on Monday for a varsity doubleheader.

Coon Rapids Bayard bats were hot all night and the defense shut down the Vikings after the first-two innings, helping the Crusaders run away to an easy win in 5 innings. The offense finished with team hits, drove in thirteen runs with three extra base hits. After giving up a pair of earned and unearned runs in the first-two innings combined Coon Rapids Bayard shut out the Vikings the rest of the game. Coon Rapids Bayard took the lead for good with a 5-run 2nd inning, going up 8-4. They added 6-runs in the 3rd and 2-runs in the 4th to seal the win.
Ty Heydon nearly hit for the cycle, finishing with a single, double and triple, driving in 2-runs. Cal Heydon had an RBI single to go with a solo home run. He scored 3 runs. Jace Baker drove in 3 RBI and Eli McAlister and Tyler Mohr both had an RBI single. Mason Culbertson scored twice. Eli McAlister earned the win, going 2 1/3 innings, allowing 1 hit with 5 strikeouts.
The Crusaders are 10-1 with a road trip to Ar-We-Va on Wednesday.

IKM-Manning scored the game winner in the bottom 6th after using a bit 5th inning to pull away. The Wolves never trailed and took the lead for good with a 4-run 4th inning. They added 5-runs in the 5th to open an 11-2 lead. Brock Kusel was strong on the hill, striking out 10 batters and the defense was strong behind him, making only one error. The Wolves took advantage of extra base runners, walking seventeen times. They stayed aggressive on the base paths, stealing six bases.
IKM-Manning put a couple runs on the board in the 1st inning with Jace Starman starting the streak of five straight batters getting on base. He singled with 1-out, then Brock Kusel, Karsyn Lorenzen, Jack Sanford and Abe Polzien all walked. Riverside responded with a run in both the 1st and 2nd innings, tying the game at 2. The Wolves responded in the 4th with Kasche Huehn walking and Jace Starman doubling. Brock Kusel drove in a pair of runs with a double and Karsyn Lorenzen walked, eventually scoring on a passed ball. The four run inning gave IKM-Manning the lead for good. Isaac Blankman singled to start the 5th and the Wolves used four walks before a double from Karsyn Lorenzen to score 5-runs in the 5th. Logan Halbur got on base in the bottom of the 6th and the Wolves loaded the bases before Brock Kusel was hit-by-pitch to drive in the game ending run.
Jace Starman had pair of hits with a double while Brock Kusel added a double, drove in 4 RBI and scored 3 runs. Karsyn Lorenzen had a double, driving in a pair of runs and scored. Kasche Huehn scored a pair of runs. Brock Kusel earned the win, going 5 2/3 innings with 7 hits allowed and 2 earned runs. He struck out 10.
The Wolves improved to 4-7 overall and will head to Audubon on Thursday.
