Alta-Aurelia At East Sac

East Sac stayed undefeated with a nice win oat home, scoring five runs in the 4th inning to take control of a game they led 2-0. They ended the game with nine hits while only allowing two hits and four baserunners. Lauryn Lally singled to start the 2nd inning and Denae Thayer doubled as the Raiders scored once in the 2nd inning. Lilly Lode bunted and reached on an error to start the 3rd innings, coming around to score the second run of the game for East Sac. A double by Chloe Bieret drove in Lode as Bieret had a big night at the plate. Lauryn Lally started another rally in the 4th inning, singling to start the inning. Makenna Steiger followed with a single and Denae Thayer reached on an error. Lilly Lode drove in a run with a single and Chloe Bieret tripled as Lally, Steiger, Thayer. Lode and Addisen Ehler all scored in the inning. Makenna Steiger singled and scored in the 5th on a base hit by Jordin Carroll, ending the game as the Raiders went ahead 8-0.

Chloe Bieret had a double and a triple while picking up an RBI. Lauryn Lally, Denae Thayer and Makenna Steiger all had 2 hits with Lally and Steiger both scoring twice and Thayer having a double with an RBI and scoring once Jordin Carroll had an RBI and Miranda Gerdes earned the win, going 5 innings, allowing 2 hits and no runs with 8 strikeouts.

The Raiders are 6-0 and will head to Pocahontas Area on Monday.

Glidden Ralston earned a huge win on the road on Friday, getting a strong pitching performance from Jaelyn Subbert and just enough offense as the Spartans tried to rally in the 6th but it fell short. Kassidy Wenck led off the game with a walk and came in to score on a base hit by Olivia Squibb. Wenck moved into scoring position with a base hit by Bryn Renze.  Jaelyn Subbert doubled in the 3rd but Exira-EHK-Audubon was able to get out of trouble, keeping the game at 1-0. The Wildcats had a pair of runners on base in the 4th but Riley Miller ended the threat with a strikeout. Glidden Ralston broke through with an insurance run in the 5th. Jenna Subbert tripled and scored on a fly out by Jaelyn Subbert. The Wildcats had a chance in the 6th to stretch the lead but stranded two runners on base. Zoey Rasmussen walked and moved to 3rd for the Spartans in the 2nd inning but Jaelyn Subbert got out of trouble with a strikeout. Rasmussen singled in the 4th but the Wildcats got out of trouble. Exira-EHK-Audubon broke through in the 6th with Lucy Stanerson singling and scoring on a base hit by Zoey Rasmussen. Rasmussen ended the inning at 2nd base. Jaelyn Subbert was able to get the Spartans in order in the bottom 7th.

Jaelyn Subbert earned the win with 7 innings, 2 hits and 1 earned run while striking out 4. She added an double and an RBI. Jenna Subbert had a triple and scored and Kassidy Wenck had a base hit and scored for Glidden Ralston. Olivia Squibb led them with 2 hits, adding an RBI.

Zoey Rasmussen led the Spartans with 2 hits, adding an RBI while Lucy Stanerson singled and scored. Riley Miller took the loss, allowing 9 hits and 2 earned runs with 10 strikeouts in 7 innings.

Glidden Ralston moves to 3-1 and heads to the Newell Fonda Tournament on Saturday. Exira-EHK fell to 5-3 and will head to the Atlantic Tournament on Saturday.

IKM-Manning At Tri Center

IKM-Manning won their second in a row, improving to 4-3 overall. They used a nine run 2nd inning to blow open the game after falling behind 1-0 in the 1st. The Trojans scored all three of their runs in the first-two innings, then Keagan Eischeid and the defense shut the door on them. The offense kept putting the ball in play, finishing with 16 hits with eight girls having at least one hit. The Wolves led the game 10-3 going to the 5th and were able to score a pair of runs, pushing the game to the 8-runs after 5 innings limit, then held the Trojans in the bottom half.

Keagan Eischeid had a huge night for the Wolves, earning the win in the circle, going 5 innings, allowing 7 hits and 3 earned runs. She added 4 hits at the plate with a pair of RBI. Karlee Arp added 4 hits with a double, driving in a run and scoring 4 runs. Anna Stangl had 3 hits with an RBI and scored once. Kadynce Ketcham added a double with 3 RBI and scored a run while Alikxa McGinn had a double with 2 RBI and scored once.

The Wolves are 4-3 and will head to LoMa on Monday.

Coon Rapids Bayard At Boyer Valley

Coon Rapids Bayard played one of their better games of the season  but fell on the road on Friday, losing 12-4 to Boyer Valley. The Crusaders fell down early, falling behind 2-0 in the 1st but rallied with a run in the 2nd and scored 2 in the 3rd to take the lead. A few defensive miscues hurt them over the next two innings, allowing the Bulldogs to score 3 in the 3rd and 4 runs in the 4th.

Anna Hart led their offensive attack with a pair of hits, including a triple. Hart scored twice. Amelia Eddy and Caiti Anderson both had a base hit and both scored a run.

The Crusaders fall to 0-5 and head to the Colo Nesco Tournament on Saturday.

One bad inning put South Central Calhoun in a hole they weren’t able to recover from as Sioux Central scored 8 runs in the 2nd inning, on their way to an 11-3 win in 5 innings. The Titans got the bats going in the 4th, scoring all three of their runs. Abby Kistenmacher drove in a pair of runs, scoring Lillian Sewick and Quinn Maschke. Kistenmacher scored later in the inning, pulling the Titans within 9-3. Sioux Central answered with a pair of runs in the bottom 4th. The Titans weren’t able to score in the top 5th, ending the game with the new State rules, ending games if the lead is 8 or more after the 5th inning.

Haylee Wiederin and Lillian Sewick both had a pair of hits for the Titans with Sewick scoring. Abby Kistenmacher drove in a pair of runs and scored and Morgan McChesney had a base hit. Kenley Wuebker added an RBI.

The Titans fall to 0-6 and will host Manson NW Webster on Monday.
