Exira EHK-Audubon traveled to Riverside on Monday in a matchup of two very hot starts. Both teams had slow starts this game as no runs were scored in the 1st inning. Riversides offense kicked in the 2nd inning as they have the lead off hitter get on and was brought all the way around to make it 1-0 in favor of Riverside. They would than add 2 more in the 3rd to go up 3-0. The Spartans found a source of offense in the 5th as Abby Wanser got on and was brought around by Anna Larsen. Anna Larsen had the other RBI for the Spartans in the 7th as she brought Payton Gust around on an RBI single. Riverside would tack on 5 more and win 8-2 to push the Spartans to 4-1 on the year.

CRB hosted Woodbine on Monday. Woodbine came in 2-3 while CRB was 0-3. The 1st inning was a nightmare for the Crusaders. The first 6 batters scored early and 10 scored total. Woodbine would get 2 in the 2nd inning to go up 12-0 after the 2nd. CRB struggled on the offensive end as they had 2 hits total both coming from Anna Hart. Woodbine would tack on the final 14 runs in the 3rd and 4th to pick up a 26-0 win on the road.
CRB falls to 0-4 on the season and will go to Ogden on Wednesday.

IKM-Manning traveled to Missouri Valley on Monday. Missouri Valley has plenty of their season in the bag as they came in at 7-1. IKM came in 2-2. Missouri Valley got out to a quick lead as after the 1st they led 1-0. Missouri Valley would than strike again in the 3rd with 3 runs on the board. Than they would repeat it in the 4th with 3 more to make it 7-0. IKM-Manning would get on the board with Annabelle Blum getting around. Missouri Valley would score 2 more to win 8-2.

Carroll hosted Ballard on Monday in a varsity doubleheader. We did not have access to the book so we do not have a full recap into how to the game went. Carroll totalled 1 hit with 6 walks. They also got around 4 times on 2 RBI. Audrey Huegerich got the sole hit for the Tigers in what was not a hot night for the bats. Carroll still managed 4 runs and kept it competitive.

Carroll had plenty of more offense in the 2nd matchup of the night. Even with the same amount of runs, Carroll put 9 hits on the board which were all simgles. Kyra Hosenfelt went 4-4 with 4 singles and 2 of the runs scored as she had the best performance on the offensive end.

Kuemper went to Clarinda in a varsity doubleheader matchup on Monday. Chloe Gehling and Ellee Schreck opened the game with two singles where they were brought around to open the game 2-0. Kuemper’s offense would stall as in the 2nd they got on by Lauren Gehling being walked and Kyla Wiskus getting a simgle. Morgan Masching would than get on by walk and all three would be stranded. In the 3rd they went 3 and out with two flyouts and a groundout. The 4th was the same with 2 strikeouts and a flyout. Kuemper would than regain some more offense as Chloe Gehling and Ellee Schreck would get on from a double and single. They would be brought around by Addison Schon and Claire Venner hitting singles. The next two innings would have the offense slow as Kuemper would fall 9-4.

Kuemper than played a 2nd part of the doubleheader against Clarinda. They opened the game 3 and out with a flyout and two groundouts. The 2nd found 2 hits but 3 outs right after to keep Kuemper scoreless. The Knights than caught fire with Chloe Gehling, Ellee Schreck, Addison Schon, Claire Venner, and Morgan Masching all scoring off of singles. This was the most offense the Knights had in the same inning. They would get plenty of hits with 4 more in the next 3 innings but would strand every batter as they fall 11-5 and lose both on the road.
Kuemper falls to 3-5 and will host Harlan on Tuesday.
