IKM-Manning At Boyer Valley

IKM-Manning earned their second win in a row, improving to 2-1 on the season. The Wolves offense was clicking, scoring at least 3-runs in every winning, running away to a 13-1 win in 4 innings. They had seven different players have at least one hit with seven girls scoring a minimum of one run. The Wolves scored three times in the 1st inning, adding 4-runs in the 2nd inning. The offense added 3-runs on both the 3rd and 4th inning. The defense was strong again, holding the Bulldogs to 3 hits with no errors. Boyer Valley scored their lone run in the 2nd inning.

Anna Stangl had a team high 3 hits, pounding out a double and a triple. She scored all three times on base. Alikxa McGinn and Karlee Arp both had a pair of hits with each having a double. McGinn drove in 3 runs and scored twice and Arp added a pair of runs scored. Taylor Beckendorf and Hannah McKinney both scored twice. Keagan Eischeid earned the win, going all 4 innings, allowing 3 hits and 1 earned run with 4 strikeouts.

The Wolves are off until Monday when they head to Missouri Valley.

Addisen Ehler led off the bottom 1st with a triple and the East Sac offense started strong with five hits in their first-six at-bats. The Raiders scored all five of their baserunners with Sarah Bontrager and Lauryn Lally both driving in a run. They didn’t let up in the 2nd inning, scoring 10-runs to put the game away. Six different Raiders had at least one base hit with seven girls scoring at least one run. They had nine hits including a triple and a double.

Addisen Ehler, Sarah Bontrager and Lauryn Lally all had 2 hits with Ehler having a triple and scoring 3 runs, Bontrager had 2 RBI and scored 3 runs and Lally doubled and finished with 4 RBI and 2 runs scored. Chloe Bieret scored 3 runs and Makenna Steiger added 2 runs scored. Miranda Gerdes pitched all 4 innings, pitching a no-hitter with 7 strikeouts.

The Raiders are 3-0 and will head to Emmetsburg on Wednesday.

Ashlynn Tigges drove in a run in the 1st inning with a single putting Glidden Ralston on the board early. The Wildcats blew the game open with 3-runs in the 2nd inning and 5 more in  the 3rd. Allison Snyder stole home in the 2nd inning and Jaelynn Subbert earned walk to score a run. Chloe Peters had the big hit in the 3rd inning, helping them score 5-runs. She doubled, scoring a pair of runs. Kassidy Wenck singled to score 2 more runs. Jaelynn Subbert doubled to score the final run of the inning.

Chloe Peters led the Wildcats with 3 hits, adding 2 RBI and scored 3 times. Kassidy Wenck and Bryn Renze both had 2 hits with Wenck having a double, 3 RBI and 3 runs scored and Renze finished with a double and scored a run. Jaelynn Subbert had a double, driving in a pair of runs and earned the win in the circle, allowing 1 hit in 5 innings with 8 strikeouts.

Glidden Ralston moves to 2-0 and will host Alta-Aurelia on Tuesday.

The Spartans defense struggled a little on Friday night but they got just enough offense to earn a 5-4 win and remain undefeated. They never trailed and led 5-1 heading into the 6th inning, then gave up 3 unearned runs, allowing Tri Center to have a chance. The Spartans held Tri Center to the 7th to earn the win.

Bryli Petersen drove in Anna Larsen and Maya King in the 1st inning, singling them home. King scored her second run of the game after running again for Riley Miller, who led off the 3rd with a single. Bryli Petersen drove in King with her second single of the game, putting the Spartans up 3-0. Tri Center pulled within 3-1 with an unearned run in the top 4th but Exira-EHK-Audubon answered in the bottom half. Anna Larsen singled with 1-out and scored on a ground out by Riley Miller. They added an insurance run in the 5th when Alissa Testroet reached on an error and scored on a single by Payton Gust. That turned out to be the game winner as Tri Center scored 3 unearned runs in the top 6th to trail 5-4.

Bryli Petersen had a team high 2 hits and 3 RBI for the Spartans. Payton Gust and Riley Miller both had a single and an RBI. Maya King scored a pair of runs and Anna Larsen added a base hit and scored twice. Alissa Testroet got on base all three times, earning a single and a run scored. Riley Miller earned the win, allowing 2 hits in 7 innings with 0 earned runs and 14 strikeouts.

The Spartans improved to 4-0 and will head to Riverside on Monday.

Pocahontas Area had a big 1st inning, building a 15-0 lead after the top of the 1st. Morgan McChesney singled and scored in the bottom of the 1st but the Titans offense had only four more baserunners the rest of the game. Abby Kistenmacher added a base hit with McChesney and Isabella Sackfield both walking. Shannon Melody was hit-by-pitch for their other baserunner. Pocahontas Area added 5-runs in the 2nd.

The loss drops the Titans to 0-4 as they head to GTRA on Wednesday.
