Chase Schable had a clutch double with 2-outs in the bottom 5th, giving Carroll a 5-4 lead. Jackson Gross doubled to score Schable, adding an insurance run and Carroll held on to win 6-5. Nevada put the tying run on base in the 7th but Tallon Crandall strikeout the batter to end the game. Carroll scratched together seven hits, getting them in bunches in the 3rd and 6th inning, scoring 3-runs in both innings. Nevada scored in the 2nd inning to take the early lead, then went back ahead with a 3-run 4th inning. Carroll responded in the 6th.
Trey Tassell was fantastic for Carroll through 6 innings, allowing 6 hits and 2 earned runs while walking one and hitting two batters. Tallon Crandall earned the save, pitching the 7th. Chase Schable doubled, driving in a pair of runs and scored what was the game winning run. Carter Essick had a pair of hits and scored once, stealing a pair of bases. Carson Tedrow and Tallon Crandall both had a hit and both scored a run.
Carroll improves to 2-1 overall and will head to Woodward Granger on Friday.

Kuemper falls at Lewis Central on Thursday as the Titans took advantage of any Kuemper miscues. The Titans strung together three hits in their first-four at-bats to start the bottom 1st, helping them score 4-runs. The Knights were able to get guys on base but couldn’t string hits together. They had a runner on base in each of the first-four innings but didn’t score until the 5th. The Titans had stretched their lead to 7-0 before the Knights scored. Lewis Central scored 3-runs in the 3rd with a pair of walks and two Kuemper errors mixed in with a base hit. Ryan Sundrup had a one out single in the 5th, moving to 3rd on a single by Thomas Pottebaum. He scored on an error but the Knights stranded guys on 2nd and 3rd. The Titans added 3 more runs in the 6th, benefiting from three straight walks, followed by a single and another walk. Kuemper got a runner on base in the 6th and two on base in the 7th but didn’t score.
Ryan Sundrup had a base hit for Kuemper and scored a run, Aaron McDermott and Thomas Pottebaum also had base hits and Charles Mayhall had a base hit and walked twice.
The Knights fall to 3-2 overall and will host Woodbury Central on Friday.

Glidden Ralston won their second in a row, rolling to a 5 inning win over West Central Valley. The Wildcats did a lot of damage on the basepaths, stealing eight bases, helping them keep pressure on the defense. West Central Valley had five errors and walked six batters, keeping the bags full of Wildcats Glidden Ralston finished with 4 hits but got a great pitching performance from Blayce Nelson, holding West Central Valley to 2 hits. Glidden Ralston scored 3 times in the 2nd inning, but put the game away with a 6-run 4th inning, grabbing a 10-0 lead.
Waylon Hein hit a solo home run for one of the Wildcats highlights offensively. Jonathan Bergmeier, Blayce Nelson and Carson Peters all singled. Alex Daniel scored 3 runs, Colby Wallace added a pair of runs scored. Blayce Nelson pitched 5 innings, allowing 2 hits while striking out 8.
Glidden Ralston improves to 2-1 overall and will travel to Madrid on Friday.

The Crusaders added their final 3-runs in the 2nd inning, building a 19-0 lead. The Spartans scored their run in the 4th.

Underwood had the offense going early, scoring seven straight batters after an opening strikeout in the bottom of the 1st. They finished the inning with an 11-0 lead, propelling them to a 12-0 win over IKM-Manning in 5 innings. The Wolves had two hits with Kasche Huehn singling in the 3rd and Abe Polzien adding a single in the 4th inning. Huehn reached 3rd base to start the game after walking to open the top of the 1st but Underwood was able to get a strikeout to end the inning. IKM-Manning had a runner on base in every inning, stranding four in scoring position with two of them at 3rd base.
Kasche Huehn and Abe Polzien both had a base hit with Huehn walking twice. Jace Starman and Brandon Enebach both got on base as well.
The loss drops the Wolves to 2-2 overall. They head to Boyer Valley on Friday.

Audubon dropped their third game in three days this week, falling at AHSTW 9-4. The Wheelers collected 4 hits with Gabe Jensen doubling to score a pair of runs in the 7th. The game was tight until AHSTW broke it open with 5-runs in the 6th after taking a 4-1 lead with a pair of runs in the 5th. The Wheelers had baserunners in the 1st, 2nd and 3rd innings but weren’t able to score. The Vikings struck for a pair of runs in the bottom 3rd but Audubon answered in the 4th. Carson Wessel led off the inning with a single and scored on a single by Adam Obrecht, thanks to an error by the Vikings. The game stayed 2-1 into the 5th. The Wheelers stranded a pair of runners in the top half and AHSTW stretched their lead in the bottom half. They scored three runs, taking advantage of four walks. They blew the game open with five more runs in the 6th. Audubon tried to rally in the 7th with Aiden Kjergaard and Carson Wessel getting hit-by-pitch, Jack Stanerson walked before Gabe Jensen doubled, driving in a pair of runs. Carson Wessel scored on a wild pitch but the Wheelers run fell short.

SE Valley took advantage of five Titans errors, helping them earn a 7-3 win in Lytton on Thursday. The Titans were outhit 9-4 but had chances trailing 2-1 going into the 5th inning. The Jaguars scored three runs in the 5th, pushing their lead to 5-1, then added a run in both the 6th and 7th innings. The Titans offense came alive late, scoring a run in both the 6th and 7th inning.
Aidan Albright, Cooper Nattress, Caleb Juhl and Kaden Dorman all had a base hit with Nattress and Juhl driving in a run. Charlie Nattress, Kaden Dorman and Luke Patterson all scored a run. Samuel Hawkins pitched 2 2/3 innings in relief, allowing 3 hits and 1 earned run with a pair of strikeouts.
The Titans are 2-3 heading into a game Friday at home with Pocahontas Area.
