East Sac grabbed the early lead, but Kuemper pulled away in the later innings to earn their first win of the season. Mason Knerl scored on a single by Charles Mayhall in the 1st inning, but East Sac responded with a pair in the bottom half. Landon Sporrer and Carter Erritt were hit-by-pitch to lead off the inning, after a Knight error Tucker Grossley was hit-by-pitch, scoring Sporrer and Zach Jacobsen walked to score Erritt. The Knights took the lead for good in the 3rd, scoring four runs. Tristan Janson singled and scored later in the inning off a single by Mason Knerl, Knerl scored later in the inning, along with Aaron McDermott who had walked and Charles Mayhall, who was hit-by-pitch. Kuemper added a run in the 4th and another in the 5th before blowing the game open with a 3-run 6th inning.
Tristan Janson earned the win, pitching 5 innings for the Knights, allowing 1 hit and 2 earned runs with 9 strikeouts. Charles Mayhall was 2-2 with a pair of RBI. Janson scored twice at the plate and Caden Vonnahme had a pair of RBI. Griffin Bauer scored a pair of runs.
Landon Sporrer had a base hit and scored a run for East Sac with Carter Erritt scoring their other run. Tucker Grossley and Zach Jacobsen both picked up an RBI.
Kuemper is 1-1 on the season. They host Shenandoah on Tuesday for a varsity doubleheader. East Sac falls to 0-1 heading into their game Thursday at OABCIG.

IKM-Manning built an early lead, then hung on as Griswold tried to chip away late. Klayton Lupardus gave the Wolves a strong start, going the distance, closing the game out, though the Tigers scored a run in the bottom of the 7th. The Wolves scored three runs in the top of the 1st, adding a run in the 2nd to lead 4-1. They did a nice job answering the Tigers later in the game. Griswold chipped away, scoring a pair of runs in the 4th but the Wolves responded with a run in the 5th and another in the 6th to lead 6-3.
Kasche Huehn had a big night at the plate, going 3-5 with an RBI and scoring twice. He stole 4 bases. Brock Kusel and Isaac Blankman both had a hit and scored a run with both stealing 2 bases. Jace Starman drove in a run. Rylan Mundt added a base hit and scored a run. Klayton Lupardus pitched 7 innings, allowing 3 hits and 2 earned runs with 5 strikeouts.
The Wolves improve to 1-1 and are off until Tuesday at home against Audubon.

Carroll hosted Glidden-Ralston at Merchants Park on Wednesday. Carroll got the lead and never looked back. They scored 4 in the 1st and 3 in the 2nd. The game lasted 5 innings as they scored 5 and 2 in the last two innings to close out the game. Plenty of offense on the Carroll end. Glidden-Ralston could not find success on the offensive end as the momentum left early and was not able to be recovered.
