Kuemper rolled into the Regional Final on Tuesday afternoon, topping Harlan in five matches in singles play. They Knights dropped only 3 games in #2 through #5 helping them take command. Sophia Tidgren earned a sweep, winning 6-0, 6-0 with Charlotte Schwabe and Ella Schwarte both winning 6-0, 6-1 and Bella Lu winning 6-1, 6-0. Kaylie Simons had a battle against a strong Cyclone #1 in Naia Ojeda. Simons took the 1st set, batting for a 7-6 (7-2) tiebreaker win. She broke Ojeda serve in the 2nd set to pull out a 6-4 win.
Kuemper had to wait before finding out who their next opponent would be as Heelan and LeMars were tied at 3 before Heelan moved on with the win.

Kuemper picked up their second win on Tuesday, advancing to the State Tennis Tournament for the second straight year with a clean sweep of Heelan. The Knights won the first-five singles matches to top the Crusaders. They will face either Sergeant Bluff Luton or Clarinda on Saturday in Atlantic in the Class 1A State Quarterfinals. They Knights didn’t drop a set for the second straight match on Tuesday, winning 60 of the 80 games played. Ella Schwarte was dominant in her match, winning 6-0, 6-1 with Charlotte Schwabe picking up a 6-2, 6-2 win. Bella Lu won 6-3, 6-1, Sophia Tidgren added a 6-1, 6-4 win and Kaylie Simons won 6-2, 6-4.
