Kuemper didn’t drop a set as they advanced through the opening round of the team postseason match against Creston on Saturday morning. The Knights overcame cool weather and strong winds to go 5-0 in matches and 10-0 in sets. They controlled every match going 60-3 in games. Mason Reicks and Max Reincke both won 6-0, 6-0 while Carter Running, Landon Pottebaum and Emmett Juergens all won a set 6-0 and their other set 6-1. The Knights advanced to play St Albert Saturday afternoon after the Falcons defeated Audubon 5-0.

Audubon battled in their opening round match against St Albert, earning a set win from Carson Matthews in his match with McCoy Daley but the Wheelers season came to an end, falling 5-0. The Wheelers went 1-10 in sets with Carson Matthews winning 6-0. They battled hard with Sawyer McClain falling 6-3 and 6-4 and Matthews falling in 3 sets, losing 10-2 in the tie-breaker. Isaac Jackson ended his outstanding career with a pair of wins in both of his sets. St Albert advanced to play Kuemper on Saturday afternoon.

Kuemper moved into the SubState Championship on Wednesday at Ballard with a 5-1 win over St Albert. The Knights were never in jeopardy but were pushed as St Albert won a match, took a second match to a tie-breaker and lost 6-4, 6-4 in a third set. Kuemper finished the day 11-3 in sets and 71-40 in games. Landon Pottebaum had the easiest win for the Knights winning 6-1, 6-0 with Carter Running adding a 6-3, 6-2 win and Max Reincke winning 6-4, 6-2. Emmett Juergens battled to earn his win, clinching the Knights win, fights for a 6-4, 6-4 win. Mason Reicks won his opening set 6-4 but fell in set 2 before winning the tie-breaker 10-7.
Kuemper travels to Ballard on Wednesday. The Bombers beat Des Moines hoover and Saydel both 5-0 on Saturday.
