Audubon At Kuemper
Kuemper advanced in Regional team play on Friday, topping Audubon in five matches to move into a matchup at home on Tuesday against Harlan. The Cyclones defeated Denison Schleswig 5-3. The Knights swept all five singles matches, going 60-13 in games. Audubon played some of their best tennis of the season says Head Coach McKenzie Nissen. They switched up their lineup and she was pleased with the quality of play she saw. Knights Head Coach Rusty Wintermote was pleased with how his team played and happy to be moving on.
Charlotte Schwabe continued her dominate play for Kuemper winning both sets 6-0 with Ella Schwarte winning 6-0 and 6-2 and Sophia Tidgren winning 6-0, 6-4. Kaylie Simons won the matchup of talented #1 singles players, winning 6-2, 6-1 over Briley Belnap. Julia Craig ended the match for Kuemper, winning her match 6-2, 6-2.
