Kuemper, East Sac and South Central Calhoun at Ogden 2A State Qualifying Meet
The 2A State qualifying meet in Ogden was a fun one. It was very windy with massive gusts throughout the night. Kuemper, East Sac, and South Central Calhoun boys and girls all comepeted and competed hard. Each team brought their full strength against some of the better individuals in the state.
Redge Potts qualifies for the state meet in the 3200 for South Central Calhoun. He dominated the pack while running a 10:03.06. Potts became the first of the night to qualify at this meet. Mya Ridgely becomes the 2nd of the night to qualify as she runs a 12.81 in the 100 meters for 2nd place. Lightning struck twice as Potts wins the 1600 with a time of 4:38.27. Tristin Gorden won the discus to be the 4th event and the 3rd Titan to advance to the state meet with a throw of 129-1.
For East Sac Wendie Veit shows how well she has been thie year in the 400 hurdles as she takes 2nd with a time of 1:07.09. She will be the first Raider advanced to the state meet.
