
Girls Golf Results Thursday, May 8th
Coon Rapids Bayard and Glidden Ralston At Rolling Valley Conference Meet At Atlantic Golf and Country Club
Coon Rapids Bayard and Glidden Ralston both competed at the Rolling Valley Conference Meet at the Atlantic Golf and Country Club. It was their second meet at the course in the last couple weeks. The Crusaders shot well, having five girls finish in the top 9 but fell to Boyer Valley in the team race. The Bulldogs had four girls in the top 10, including Runner-Up Medalist Reese Miller, who shot a 99. Charlie Pryor of Woodbine was the Medalist with a 97. The Wildcats didn’t have a team score with only two golfers.
Mallory Schroeder and Kerra Hart both shot a 111 for the Crusaders, tying for 3rd place. Brielle Bass had a 113, finishing 7th with Ella Heithoff and Sophia Sperry both finished with 118, tying for 8th place.
Madilyn Trost led the Wildcats with a 124, taking 14th and Emmersynn Chaney had a 134, finishing tied for 18th.

Carroll earned a hard-fought win at the Carroll National on Thursday with both teams top four golfers shooting a combined 230. The Tigers earned the title with the 5th player scorecard with Taylor Ewoldt shooting a 68 to Carlisle having a 75. Carroll had a pair of players in the low 50’s with Amelia Henson shooting a 52, earning Runner-Up Medalist with Ella Perry adding a 53. Jacey Gutshall shot a 60 and Reese Heller added a 65 for the Tigers.

South Central Calhoun earned Medalist and Runner-Up Medalist with Adlen Wheelock and Sophia Wuebker both shooting a 47. Wheelock earned Medalist with Wuebker Runner-Up Medalist. The Titans finished in 2nd place with a 206 with Newell Fonda earning the win on their home course with a 201. The Titans had two in the 40’s and their other two scores in the mid to upper 50’s with Newell Fonda having two players also shooting 47 with their other two scores in the low to mid 50’s.
Adlen Wheelock, Sophia Wuebker, Emma Hurd and Rowuyn Nielsen all shot 47 and played an extra hole. Wheelock and Wuebker tied on that hole, ahead of both Mustangs, moving themselves on to a second playoff hole. Wheelock won the second hole, winning the meet.
Charissa Nowatzke added a 54 for the Titans with Kyra Bruns shot a 58.

East Sac had four players in the top 8, but fell to Emmetsburg, which had the top three scores and four girls in the top five. The Raiders finished with a 200 with Emmetsburg shooting a 188. Natalie Bunde of Emmetsburg won Medalist with a 46 with Calista Joyce and Patience Wiita, both of Emmetsburg shooting 47 to win Runner-Up Medalist.
Makenna Steiger led the Raiders with a 48, finishing 4th with Brooke Burns 7th with a 50, followed by Kendall Quirk and Ella Wilson tying for 7th with each shooting a 51.
