Girls Soccer Results Thursday, May 8th 

Creston At Kuemper

It was a dominant win for Kuemper at home on Thursday, scoring five goals in the 1st half and four more in the 2nd half. As good as the offense was, the defense may have been even better. Creston didn’t get a shot on goal as Addy Anthofer did a nice job helping her front line keep the ball from getting deep into Kuemper territory. Kuemper did a great job of sharing the ball, having six goals score a goal, led by Cierra Pudenz with 4 goals. Kuemper had five other girls score a goal, including McKenzie Blum, Kalie Hausman, Cailyn Pudenz, Saige Wendl and Megan Kies all scored a goal.

The win improves Kuemper to 9-3-1. They take on Carroll at the Athletic Stadium on Friday with Varsity at 5:30.

Carroll At Denison Schleswig

Carroll battled injuries on Thursday, allowing 4 goals in the 1st half in a 5-0 loss to the Monarchs. The Tigers had several players learning new positions and the Monarchs were able to take advantage early. Carroll played well as the game went on, allowing only 1 goal in the 2nd half with Azaya Martinez playing very well. The offense moved the ball well and were able to take 6 shots on goal, but weren’t able to slip a shot into the back of the net.

Jersey Sporrer led the Tigers attack with 3 shots on goal with Emma Bernholtz adding 2 shots on goal and Sadie Kelley had 1 shot on goal. Marin Overmohle had a big night in goal with 24 saves.

The Tigers fall to 1-13 as they take on Kuemper at the Athletic Stadium on Friday with Varsity first.
