Boys Soccer Results for Thursday, May 8th

Carroll hosted Harlan Thursday in what was a very good game for the Tigers. Harlan opened the game with the first goal of the night and held strong throughout the first half. Harlan led at half by a score of 1-0. The second half is where Carroll’s offense found it’s stride. At the 26 minute mark, Luke Lavana scored the Tigers first goal to tie the game up. From than on it was all Tiger offense as Luis Caldera scored the 2nd for Carroll. Luke Lavana added one more at the 6 minute mark to help the Tiger prevail 3-1.

Creston at Kuemper

The Kuemper Knights hosted both a boys and girls game against Creston on Thursday. For the boys they were riding hot after a very close and competitive win over Greene County on Tuesday. Kuemper picked up right where they left off as they opened the game in the first half alone putting 5 goals in the back of the net. Carson Kanne had 4 of those goals in what will go down as one of the better games of his soccer career. Treyger Niehaus scored the other goal for Kuemper as they showed their depth age wise with a senior and freshman scoring for them tonight. At the half it was 5-1 in favor of the Knights. In the 2nd half Creston found the net twice but was behind far at the point as the Knights held on for a 5-3 victory.
