East Sac scored a late goal after losing a 2-0 lead to edge Carroll 3-2 in a hard fought game on Thursday. The Raiders scored twice in the 1st half and led Carroll 2-1 at half but the Tigers tied the game in the 2nd half. Sarah Bontrager snuck a shot past the Tigers in the final three minutes to put the Raiders on top and they were able to hold on to win.
Chloe Bieret put East Sac up 1-0 with a PK with 27:07 left in the 1st half. The Raiders led moved to 2-0 with 15:34 left in the half when Carroll scored an own goal. That ignited the Tigers who controlled the final ten minutes of the 1st half. Emma Bernholtz scored with 10:24 left in the half and Carroll was within 2-1 at half. The 2nd half started similar to the 1st half with the defenses controlling the action and both goalies making needed stops. Jersey Sporrer finally broke free for Carroll, getting a one on one matchup and scored with a nifty shot to tie the game at 2 with 20:26 left. East Sac regained control of the ball and the game, getting several attacks and taking the lead for good with Chloe Bieret finding Sarah Bontrager for the game winning goal with 2:24 remaining.

Emma Bernholtz and Jersey Sporrer both scored a goal for Carroll with Marin Overmohle adding 6 saves.
East Sac moves to 2-6-1 while Carroll falls to 1-9. The Raiders head to the Denison Schleswig Tournament on Saturday and will play Denison Schleswig in the opening round. Carroll also heads to the Denison Schleswig on Saturday and opens with Council Bluffs Lincoln.
