Brincks Exteriors Sports Report: Three Area Boys Track Teams Competed Friday

Boys Track Results Friday, April 25th 

Carroll At Winterset 

Carroll had a strong night at Winterset, scoring in seventeen events, scoring 116 points. Their 3rd place finish was highlighted by four titles with three individuals and one relay claiming titles. The Tigers were just behind 2nd place Earlham with 128 points and Winterset with 175 points. Of they seventeen events that scored for Carroll, ten of them were top three finishes.

Laul Tharjiath won the High Jump at 5-10.00 and Landon Mrla won the Long Jump with a 21-06-00 as Carroll won two field events. Carson Tedrow won the 400 Hurdles with a 59.34. Carroll showed their hurdle depth, winning the Shuttle Hurdle with Lincoln Burke, Lual Tharjiath, Landon Mrla and Owen Klocke. They ran a 1:04.06. Gavin Holt was 2nd in the Shot Put, Lual Tharjiath was 2nd in the 110 Hurdles and the Distance Medley was 2nd with Treyvin Childress, Reece Ziegmann, Maddox White and Blake Molinsky. Logian Schagt took 3rd in the 200 Meters and was the lead runner for the 3rd place 4×200 along with Carter Essick, Brekken Moore and Mason Stitz. They added a 3rd in the 4×100 with Treyvin Childress, Maddox White, Landon Mrla and Reece Ziegmann.

Coon Rapids Bayard At Newell Fonda

Coon Rapids Bayard earned three champions in the five events they scored in, taking 5th with 50 points. The Crusaders were strong in the sprint events as usual with Caden Oswald winning the 200 Meters in 23.71 and taking 2nd in the  100 Meters. They won the 4×200 with Mason Culbertson, Cal Heydon, Parker Hays, Caden Oswald, running a 1:34.82. The same group were 2nd in the 4×100. Cal Heydon followed up his day at the Drake Relays with a championship in the Shot Put with a 52-08.75.

South Central Calhoun At Pocahontas Area 

South Central Calhoun finished 3rd with 119 points, earning three championships with Redge Potts claiming two of them and Andrew Anderson grabbing the other. The Titans trailed Bishop Garrigan with 142 points and Sioux Central with 151 points, scoring in fifteen events with seven finishes in the top 3.

Redge Potts earned title in the 3200 Meters in 10:12.51 and the 1600 Meters in 4:55.49. Andrew Anderson won the 110 Hurdles in 16.01 with Darius Eigsti finishing in 2nd place. Eigsti added a 2nd in the 200 Meters and was part of a 2nd place Shuttle Hurdle along with Andrew Anderson, Hayden Stickrod and Kylar Thompson. The Titans ended the night with a 2nd place in the 4×100 with Andrew Anderson, Hayden Stickrod, Brayden Werneburg and Darius Eigsti.
