Girls Track Results Friday, April 25th 

Coon Rapids Bayard and South Central Calhoun At Newell Fonda

South Central Calhoun and Coon Rapids Bayard both had strong performances on Friday with the Crusaders having a pair of championships and the Titans earning a title and three-2nd place finishes. South Central Calhoun used their depth to score 73 points, finishing in 4th place, behind Newell Fonda (112), Alta-Aurelia (104) and Manson NW Webster with 98 points. The Crusaders added a pair of 3rd place finishes to score 41 points. They finished in 7th as a team, just behind West Bend Mallard with 44 points. The Titans had six events in the top 3 with the Crusaders having four events in the top 3.

Tristin Gorden continues her strong start to the  season for the Titans, winning the Discus with a 117-00. She added a 2nd place in the Shot Put. Iris Melody had a great week, ending it with 2nd place finishes in the 1500 Meters and 3000 Meters. Mya Ridgely added more hardware, taking 2nd in the 100 Meter and 3rd in the 200 Meters.

Anna Hart was a champion for Coon Rapids Bayard, winning the 200 Meters in 27.94. The Crusaders added a Shuttle Hurdle title with Lauren Cook, Aubrey Hofbauer, Malia Clayburg and Amelia Eddy. They ran a 1:12.46. Lauren Cook was 3rd in the 100 Meters and Maddy Mason was 3rd in the Shot Put.

Carroll At Winterset 

Carroll earned four titles with three in individual events and a relay, helping them score 86 points and finish in 4th place. Winterset won their own meet with 177 points, followed by Creston with 121 and Earlham with 96 points. Carroll finished the night with nine spots in the top 3 with six in individual events and three relays.

Katelyn Aden had a strong run in the 400 Hurdles, winning with a 1:09.46, Emma Kuhlmann won the Shot Put with a 34-01.50, Olivia Rowedder won the Discus with a 110-07 and the Tigers won the 4×200 in 1:53.39 with Marasyn Wittrock, Macy Simmelink, Katelyn Aden and Maggie Dirkx. The Sprint Medley team earned 2nd with Marasyn Wittrock, Macy Simmelink, Maggie Dirkx and Katelyn Aden. Olivia Rowedder was 2nd in the Shot Put. Chloe Kock took 3rd in the Discus, Maggie Dirkx was 3rd in the 400 Hurdles and the Distance Medley was 3rd with Macy Schaefer, Aubrie Drake, Priscila Linares and Logan Lee.
