Brincks Exteriors Sports Report: Audubon Boys Tennis Tops Harlan on Thursday

Boys Tennis Results Thursday, April 17th

Audubon earned a nice win with a couple huge wins in singles to help clinch the win against Harlan. Fred Harris rallied to earn a win in tie-breaker and Kayden Otten fought to win in tie-breaker. The Wheelers controlled the top matches in singles, earning some early service breaks to take control of their matches. Carson Matthews led his match 3-2 before back-to-back service breaks clinched an 8-3 win. Sawyer Toft broke his opponent early and rolled to an 8-2 win and Isaac Jackson was never in trouble winning 8-0. Colin Hartl was in control of his match, winning 8-1. Audubon went 48-21 singles games, adding a 16-10 mark in tie-breakers. The teams weren’t able to finish the entire meet with a tornado warning ending it before the final doubles match was finished. Isaac Jackson and Carson Matthews picked up an 8-2 win. The Wheelers were 10-10 in games in doubles.

The Wheelers head to Southwest Valley on Tuesday.

Fred Harris of Audubon won 8-8, (9-7) over Abram Wilwerding of Harlan

Colin Hartl of Audubon won 8-1 over Dale Scheuring of Harlan

 

Doubles 

Isaac Jackson and Carson Matthews of Audubon won 8-2 over Colton Hagle and Jeb Sonderman of Harlan
