Carroll nearly tied up a defensive battle with just over 5:00 remaining when Jersey Sporrer took the ball on the sideline near the Carroll bench and loft a beautiful shot that was angling to the upper right corner of the goal. The Panthers goalie Morghann Geith jumped and tipped the ball away from the net with a game saving play. The Tigers had a few opportunities over the next minute with several corner kicks but couldn’t get the ball in position for a clean shot. LoMa was able to get the ball out of their end and kept the ball near midfield, running out the final minute of the game. Both defenses were sharp most of the game with the game staying scoreless until LoMa slipped a ball into the back of the net with 14:18 left in the game. They held on from there as Carroll finished with 14 shots and 11 of those shots on goal. Both teams had a couple chances throughout the game with one-on-one matchups with the goalie but weren’t able to capitalize.
Jersey Sporrer had 4 shots on goal, Sadie Kelly added 3 shots on goal and Emma Bernholtz had a pair of shots on goal. Marin Overmohle finished with 14 saves.
The Tigers fell to 1-4 overall and will head to Ballard on Thursday.

Kuemper won their second in a row, improving to 3-2 overall with a dominating win on the road at Greene County. The Knights were up 3-0 at half with a dominant defensive effort. They didn’t allow Greene County to take shots at the net with the Knights not having to make a save all game. They built a 3-0 lead at half, then went on to score five goals in the 2nd half. They showed good depth offensively with five girls scoring at least one goal. Four of those goals came via assist. Kuemper kept pressure on the Rams all game.
Kalie Hausman paced the Knights offense with 3 goals, Cierra Pudenz added 2 goals and an assist. Makenzie Yetmar, Cailyn Pudenz and Gabby Running all scored a goal. Cailyn Pudenz, Mia Milligan and Mckenna Blum all made an assist.
The Knights take a break until next Tuesday, April 22nd when they host East Sac.

A quick goal by West Central Valley turned out to be the difference in the game on Tuesday. The Wildcats scored 2:30 into the game and held the lead until half, up 1-0. The Raiders defense settled in quickly, after allowing the early goal and were solid the rest of the half. Offensively East Sac struggled, not able to push the ball into the net. Chloe Bieret broke through for East Sac in the 2nd half. She scored on a PK with 24:10 left in the game, tying it at 1. West Central Valley went back ahead nearly 10:00 later, scoring with 14:39 left to take a 2-1 lead. East Sac had opportunities, getting 11 shots on goal, but they weren’t able to tie the game a second time.
Chloe Bieret scored the Raiders only goal with 4 shots on goal. Jordin Carroll and Emma Kischer both had 2 shots on goal. Melodee Rench was strong in the net with 15 saves.
The Raiders slip to 1-3-1 and will host Harlan on Thursday.
