Kuemper rallied in the 2nd half after falling behind 3-1 at half. The Knights and Cyclones battled the wind with the offenses controlling the match when the wind was at their back. Kuemper got a goal in the 1st half from Cierra Pudenz to keep them within striking distance, then dominated the 2nd half. Pudenz scored three more goals, helping Kuemper rally for a 4-3 win. McKenna Blum added an assist as the Knights moved to 2-2 on the season.
Kuemper heads to Greene County on Tuesday.

Riverside At East Sac

East Sac couldn’t hold an early lead on a night that saw the game delayed for 15 minutes due to a dust storm on an extremely windy night. The Raiders were up 2-0 at half but Riverside tied it in the 2nd half and then tied it at 3 late in regulation. Jordin Carroll continues to play well, scoring on a free kick with 18:29 left in the 1st half. She gave the Raiders a 1-0 lead, that was extended to 2-0 three minutes later when Chloe Bieret scored her first goal of the night. The Raiders defense took advantage of the wind and tough play in the 1st half, shutting down the Bulldogs to lead 2-0 at half. Riverside began their rally over halfway through the 2nd half. They pulled within 2-1 with 16:00 left in the game and tied it at 2 with 11:00 minutes left. Chloe Bieret put the Raiders back on top with 8:31 remaining, scoring her second goal of the game. Riverside responded again, scoring with 5:33 left to send it to overtime. The game ended in a 3-3, dropping East Sac to 1-2-1 on the season.
Chloe Bieret led the Raiders with a pair of goals with Jordin Carroll adding a goal. The Raiders had 9 shots on goal. Melodee Rench had a team high 5 saves with Lauryn Lally adding 3 saves.
The Raiders host West Central Valley on Tuesday.
