Girls Golf Results Monday, April 14th 

Ballard At Carroll At Breda

Carroll fell in their second match of the season on Monday in Breda, battling through the windy conditions in a 216 to 242 loss to the Bombers. Ella Perry led Carroll, shooting a 52 and was the only Tiger in the 50’s. Ballard had one golfer in the 40’s with Maddie Baltes earning Medalist honors with a 49. They had two more golfers finish in the 50’s, helping them to the win. Kallie Fulkerson of Ballard earned the Runner-Up Medalist honors with a 50. Amelia Henson added a 60 for Carroll with Taylor Ewoldt and Reese Heller both shooting a 65. Ella Perry shot par on #8, Amelia Henson had par of #3 and #5.

The Tigers are scheduled to face Bondurant Farrar and Winterset on Thursday at Terrace Hills.

Alta-Aurelia, Manson NW Webster and Storm Lake St Mary’s At East Sac

East Sac girls won their home meet on Monday, outdistancing 2nd place Alta-Aurelia by 10 strokes. The Raiders were balanced in their scoring with all four of their scores in  the low to mid 50’s on a very windy day. Ella Wilson of East Sac earned Runner-Up Medalist, her second of the season, shooting a 50. Avery Westphal of Alta-Aurelia was Medalist with a 44. East Sac’s strength this season should be their quality depth and it showed on Monday with Brooke Burns shooting a 51 and Makenna Steiger adding a 52 as the Raiders had three of the top four scores and four of the top six with Kendall Quirk adding a 55.

The Raiders are home again on Thursday, when they host West Bend Mallard.

South Central Calhoun and Emmetsburg At SE Valley

South Central Calhoun won their second straight meet, this time a triangular with Emmetsburg and SE Valley. The Titans edged Emmetsburg 224 to 226 to win the meet with SE Valley finishing with a 237. The Titans were led for a second straight match by Adlen Wheelock, who finished Runner-Up Medalist with a 52. Karah Hayes of SE Valley earned Medalist with a 50. The Titans had all four girls on the scorecard finish in the top 9, helping their win over Emmetsburg which had three girls in the top 7 and their fourth finishing 10th. Kaitlyn O’Neil had a strong round for the Titans with a 53 with Charissa Nowatzke shooting a 58 and Kyra Bruns adding a 61. Kaitlyn O’Neil had a par on #3 and Kyra Bruns shot par on #4.

The Titans are off until Tuesday, April 22nd when they host Manson NW Webster.

IKM-Manning had only two golfers on Monday, not able to post a team score in a loss to Missouri Valley, which shot a 245. The Wolves were led by Ryelyn Summerfield with a 58 and Maybelin Valladares with a 63. The Big Red earned Medalist and Runner-Up Medalist with Izzy Vogel shooting 54 and Addy Vogel adding a 56. The Wolves meet at Denison Schleswig on Tuesday will not be held.

Coon Rapids Bayard and Glidden Ralston At Woodbine At Shadow Valley

Coon Rapids Bayard won the team title at the Rolling Valley Conference Meet at Woodbine on Monday, shooting a 238, topping Boyer Valley at 244 and CAM with a 264. The Crusaders had a strong day with two girls in the top 5 and four in the top 10. Kerra Hart led the Crusaders with a 55, finishing in a tie for 3rd place. Ella Heithoff added a 59 with Mallory Schroeder shooting a 61. Charlie Pryor of Woodbine was the Medalist, shooting a 48 to edge Reese Miller of Boyer Valley, who was Runner-Up Medalist with a 49. Sophia Speery of Coon Rapids Bayard added a 63. Glidden Ralston didn’t have any golfers didn’t have any golfers due to State FFA Convention.

The Crusaders and Wildcats are both off until Monday, April 21st At Atlantic Golf and Country Club, hosted by Exira-EHK.
