It was a great night for track with the weather. The sun was out and everyone showed out today at the Denison CoEd. IKM-Manning and Coon Rapids-Bayard competed with 6 other schools on Friday. IKM-Manning took 5th with 84.5 points while CRB took 8th with 53 points.

CRB had two champions in Malia Clayburg in the High Jump where she jumped 4-10. Maddy Mason was the second champion in the shot put where she threw a 35-00. IKM Manning had no champions but two 2nd places in the Shuttle Hurdle and the 4×200.

South Central Calhoun, Ar-We-Va and East Sac all traveled up to Buena Vista to the St. Mary’s Invitational. They all competed with 8 other teams with East Sac taking 6th, SCC in 8th and Ar-We-Va in 11th. All three schools had bright spots throughout the meet.

For East Sac they had three champions. Miranda Gerdes won the Discus with a throw of 101-03. The 4×100 with Madison Meister, Tori Hauser, Haley Jo King and Libbie Veit with a time of 1:15.50. Lastly Wendie Veit won the 400 Meters with a time of 1:10.98. South Central Calhoun had 2 champions with Tristin Gorden in the Shot Put 36-00. The other champion was Iris Melody in the 2 Mile with a time 11:37.96. Ar-We-Va’s best was Gabby Hundling finishing in Third in the long jump.

Paton-Churdan was over in Greene County with 6 other teams Friday. They finished in 7th with 18 team points. They had two 5th place finishes with Ella Tasler in the 3000 meter running a 13:59.87 and Alivya Smith in the discus with a 96-07.

Paton Churdan will be in action again April 17th at the Charger Relays.
