Boys Track Results Friday, April 11th
Coon Rapids Bayard and IKM-Manning At Denison Schleswig
IKM-Manning won the meet on Friday, scoring with fourteen individuals or relays in thirteen events. The Wolves scored 163, easily outscoring Woodbine with 115. Coon Rapids Bayard had a pair of champions, helping them score 47 points to finish in 7th. The Crusaders scored in four events.
Max Butler had a strong day for IKM-Manning, winning the 200 Meters in 23.37 while taking 2nd in the High Jump and the 100 Meters. The Wolves dominated the 4×800, winning by around 0:40, running a 8:44.56 with Abe Polzien, Ben Ramsey, Wyatt Danner and Isaac Blankman. The Shuttle Hurdle gave them their 3rd championship, running a 1:11.28 with Brock Kusel, Tyson Smith, Brennen Morris and Eian Snyder. They added four other 2nd place finishes. Abe Polzien was 2nd in the 200 Meters, Xaviore Diaz in the High Jump, Brock Kusel in the 110 Hurdles, Tyson Smith in the 400 Hurdles and they were 2nd in the Sprint Medley with Kasche Huehn, Zach Solberg, Brock Kusel and Xaviore Diaz. The Wolves closed the meet taking 2nd in the 4×400 with Max Butler, Tyson Smith, Ben Ramsey and Abe Polzien. Eian Snyder was 3rd in the 110 Hurdles and the Distance Medley team of Kasche Huehn, Zach Solberg, Wyatt Danner and Camden Morris finished in 3rd.
Caden Oswald and Cal Heydon claimed titles for Coon Rapids Bayard. Oswald won the 100 Meters in 11.50 and Heydon won the Shot Put with a 51-08.50. The 4×200 was 2nd with Mason Culbertson, Cal Heydon, Parker Hays and Caden Oswald. Mason Culbertson added a 3rd in the Long Jump.

Ar-We-Va, East Sac and South Central Calhoun At Storm Lake St Mary’s
All three area teams had strong night at Storm Lake St Mary’s meet run at Buena Vista on Friday. South Central Calhoun won three events, finished in 2nd in four events and had three-3rd places. They scored 118 points to finish 2nd behind South O’Brien with 137.5 points. East Sac was 4th with 81 points. The Raiders finished 2nd in three events, adding three more 3rd place finishes. Ar-We-Va had a champion, winning the 400 Meters along with a 2nd place and three-3rd place finishes. The Rockets scored 49 points, taking 7th place.
Redge Potts has returned in a big way for South Central Calhoun, winning the 3200 Meters in 10:09.45 and the 1600 Meters in 4:52.25. Jace Pedersen added a championship in the Shot Put with a 44-00.00. Marshall Bundt was 2nd in the Shot Put, Darius Eigsti was 2nd in the 200 Meters and Andrew Anderson added a 2nd in the 110 Hurdles with Eigsti taking 3rd in the 11o Hurdles. The Titans finished 2nd in the Shuttle Hurdle with Andrew Anderson, Kylar Thompson, Hayden Stickrod and Darius Eigsti. Andrew Anderson was 3rd in the High Jump, Wyatt Mernka was 3rd in the Discus and the 4×200 was 3rd with Aidan Albright, Quinn Roller, Brayden Werneburg and Hayden Stickrod.
Landon Sporrer was one of the top performers for East Sac, taking 2nd in the 3200 Meters and was 3rd in the 1600 Meters. Sporrer was the anchor for the 4×400 which was 2nd with Xander Hemer, Jack Gullett and Riley Aragon. Xander Hemer added a 2nd in the 400 Meters and was part of the 3rd place Shuttle Hurdle with Gabe King, Reef Lankford and Landon Grindle. The Raiders were 3rd in the Distance Medley with Tyson Jackson, Landon Grindle, Jack Gullett and Riley Aragon.
Wyatt Ragaller won the 400 Meters in 59.64 for Ar-We-Va. He was 2nd in the Long Jump and 3rd in the 100 Meters. Blayne Smith took 3rd in the 800 Meters and the 4×400 was 3rd with Wade Ragaller, Damon Thomsen, Weston Toft and Blayne Smith.

Paton Churdan scored in seven events on Friday, finishing with 39 points and in 8th place. The Rockets placed in four individual events and three relays. Forest City won the team title with 138.5 points. Trevon Keely won the 100 Meters in 11.42 and the High Jump at 6-05. Keely was 2nd in the 200 Meters and 3rd in the Long Jump.
