Brincks Exteriors Sports Report: Audubon Boys Tennis Impressive in Win on Friday

Boys Tennis Results Friday, April 11th

Audubon set the tempo early in singles, taking a 3-0 win with a pair of sweeps and a hard fought 8-3 win. Creston tied the match at 3-3, winning the final three singles matches, including a tight 7-5 win. The Wheelers were 34-26 in singles games. Audubon got hot early in doubles, playing very well, sweeping through all three matches to earn a 6-3 win. They were 24-8 in doubles games.

Isaac Jackson and Sawyer Toft swept through their singles matches, winning 8-0 with Carson Matthews battling for a 8-3 win. Fred Harris made his first varsity start in singles play and nearly earned a win. He battled Tim Bartlett with long rallies before falling 7-5. Isaac Jackson and Carson Matthews helped jump start the Wheelers in doubles, winning 8-1 and Sawyer Toft and Kayden Otten clinched the win for the match with an 8-2 win, putting the Wheelers up  5-3. Fred Harris and Colin Hartl finished off the Wheelers win, taking their doubles match 8-5.

Audubon is 1-0 to start the season and will head to Shenandoah for a tournament on Saturday.

Dylan Dornack of Creston won 7-5 over Fred Harris of Audubon

Carson Beer of Creston won 8-3 over Colin Hartl of Audubon

 

Doubles 

Isaac Jackson and Carson Matthews of Audubon won 8-1 over Spencer Brown and Wesley Wires of Creston

Sawyer Toft and Kayden Otten of Audubon won 8-2 over Ben Rushing and Timothy Bartlett of Creston
