Kuemper dropped their season opener on the road on Tuesday, playing well against one of the top teams in the Hawkeye 10 entering the season. The Knights had three golfers shoot under 40 with their top four guys shooting 40 or less. Atlantic had three golfers in the 30’s with their low score at 35. They added a 40 for their fourth score, helping they squeeze past the Knights 151 to 157. Hamburg only brought one golfer and Keith Thompson earned Medalist honors shooting a 34. Hudson McLaren was huge for Atlantic, earning Runner-Up Medalist with a 35, but his score was four strokes better than any of the Knights top three, who all shot 39.
Braxton Vonnahme, Kayden Schon and Jack Lenz all shot 39 for Kuemper with Dawson Billmeier added a 40.
The Knights head to Webster City on Friday against Webster City and Panorama.

Coon Rapids Bayard and Glidden Ralston At CAM At Rolling Valley Conference Meet
Coon Rapids Bayard finished 3rd with a 176 and Glidden Ralston was 6th, shooting a 197 in both teams season opener on Tuesday at Crestwood Hills. Woodbine had a strong day, winning the meet with a 164 and CAM finished 2nd with a 168. The Crusaders top four scores were all in the 40’s, led by Landon Cook with a 42. Glidden Ralston had two guys in the 40’s with their other two scoring players shooting 51. Chase Jahde of CAM was the Medalist with a 37 with Skyler Stolley of Woodbine earning Runner-Up Medalist with a 40.
Landon Cook led Coon Rapids Bayard with a 42, Max Shirbroun and Gavin Heiderscheit both shot 44 and Cole Cretsinger added a 46.
Jackson Whitaker paced the Wildcats with a 47 with Greyson Renze adding a 48. Carson Peters and Mason Dunn both shot 51 for Glidden Ralston.
The Crusaders head to Cedar Pointe to face Boone, Ogden and Interstate 35 on Thursday. Glidden Ralston heads to East Sac on Thursday along with South Central Calhoun.

Audubon earned a nice win to start the season, shooting extremely well in convincing wins over Fremont Mills and LoMa. The Wheelers had five of their six guys shoot in the 40’s with three of the four scores that counted in the team score shoot 43 or less. They finished the meet with a 173, defeating Fremont Mills by 18 strokes. They finished in 2nd with a 191 and LoMa shot a 204. Henry Burr of Audubon earned Medalist with a 41, edging ahead of Anders Langille of Fremont Mills, who earned Runner-Up Medalist with a 42.
Burr paced Audubon, shooting a 41, followed by Oliver Deist and Ryan Hermansen, both with a 43. Hudson Hocker added a 46.
The Wheelers moved to 3-0 as they prepare to head to Tri Center on Friday at Quail Run.

IKM-Manning At Riverside

IKM-Manning fell to Riverside at Oakland Country Club in their season opener on Tuesday. The Wolves finished with a 215, with Riverside shooting a 174. IKM-Manning had one golfer in the 40’s with their other three scores 50 and two in the upper 50’s. James McCready of Riverside won Medalist with a 40 and Peyton Amdor of Riverside earned Runner-Up Medalist with a 43.
Ashton Ahrenholtz was the low scorer for IKM-Manning with a 49, followed by Kael Renze with a 50, Karsyn Lorenzen a 58 and Aaden Mass also shooting a 58.
