Winterset struck early as Carroll settled in defensively as the 1st half went on. Leah Nystrom and Emma Bernholtz performed well in the outside mid positions, helping the Tigers hold the Huskies to a pair of goals in the 2nd half. They did a nice job tracking back and moving the ball forward. Carroll used their speed offensively, doing a nice job communicating but struggled finding the back of the net. The offense appears close to having a big game as they are playing well and showing good skill.
The loss drops Carroll to 0-2 overall and 0-1 in the Raccoon River Conference. They host Bondurant Farrar on Monday.
