Kuemper cruised in their season and home opener, rolling to a 7-2 win over Lewis Central, taking five of the six singles match and two of the three doubles matches. The Knights went 45-17 in singles games and 22-10 in doubles games. Two Knights won their singles matches 8-0, with Max Reineke winning the number two spot and Landon Pottebaum winning in the fourth player match. Mason Reicks dropped his first game in the number one player match but rallied to win the match 8-2, winning eight of the last nine games. Max Reineke and Landon Pottebaum completed perfect nights, teaming to win the number two doubles match 8-0. Both players were undefeated in both singles and doubles play. Mason Reicks and Carter Running earned an 8-2 win in doubles in the number one doubles match.
Kuemper is off until Monday when they head to Atlantic.
