The Knights offense put a lot of pressure on Panorama all game but the Panthers defense held up strong, holding off Kuemper for a 2-1 win. The Knights finished the night with around 30 shots on goal, scoring a goal in the 2nd half but it wasn’t enough. The game was scoreless at half before the Panthers were able to strike against a Kuemper defense that played well most of the night. Fletch Badding scored for Kuemper in the 2nd half but it wasn’t enough.
Fletch Badding had the lone goal for Kuemper with Lucas Diehl adding 4 saves.
The Knights open the season 0-1 and will host Lewis Central for their home opener on Tuesday.

East Sac was dominant on the road on Tuesday, improving to 2-0 on the season. The Raiders offense was aggressive, moving the ball around, keeping pressure on the Big Red all game. The Raiders took 26 shots with 17 of them on goal. Six different players scored for East Sac, helping them build a 5-0 lead at half. The defense was every bit as dominant, keeping Missouri Valley from getting many opportunities on their offensive end. Brendyn Conn made a save on the only shot he faced in goal all game. East Sac added a goal in the 2nd half to secure the 6-0 win.
Tyson Herrif, Cade Bachman, Carson Schmitt, Riley Aragon, Xander Hemer and Brendyn Coon all had a goal with Wyatt Smith and Riley Aragon each having a pair of assists. Brendyn Conn had 1 save.
The Raiders enter their home opener Thursday against LoMa 2-0.
