Megan Kies scored on a pass from Kalie Hausman in the 1st half as Kuemper hung tight on the road at Panorama. The Knights were able to get several shots on goal but both defenses played well in the 1st half. The game was tied 1-1 at half but Panorama was able to put pressure on the Kuemper defense in the 2nd half, forcing Addy Anthofer to make 15 saves. The Panthers scored 3 goals in the 2nd half and pulled away to win 4-1.
Megan Kies had a goal for Kuemper with Kalie Hausman assisting on the goal. Addy Anthofer finished with 15 saves.
The Knights open the season 0-1 and will host Lewis Central on Tuesday.

East Sac battled the conditions and Missouri Valley on a cold and windy night, going against the wind in the 1st half. The defense, which was very strong on Monday continued to play well, setting in during the 1st half. That allowed the offense to strike first with Chloe Bieret scoring a goal with 26:00 left in the 1st half. The Raiders led 1-0 but the Big Red battled back late in the half. They got their first shot on goal with 9:43 left in the 1st half, scoring to tie the game at 1. That momentum propelled a burst from Missouri Valley, taking four shots over the next seven minutes, scoring twice to lead 3-1 at half. Both defenses settled in during the 2nd half with Chloe Bieret breaking through with 19:18 left in the game. Bieret took advantage of being tripped in the penalty box, scoring on her PK. The Raiders looked to attack late in the game, attempting to tie the game but Missouri Valley was able to stretch their lead with a goal, helping them win 4-2.
Chloe Bieret had a pair of goals for the Raiders with 3 shots on goal. Denae Thayer made 8 saves in goal.
East Sac is 1-1 on the season and hosts LoMa on Thursday in their home opener.
