The Carroll Tigers see an eight-game winning streak come to an end as they fell on the road to number two North Polk on Tuesday. The Tigers fell down early in the game as North Polk was sharp on offense to start. Carroll would trail 19-9 at the end of the first quarter. Both teams scored 18 points in the second quarter. The Tigers would trail by double digits at the half, 37-27. North Polk would stretch their lead in the third quarter as they led 48-31. The Tigers would add 12 more points in the fourth quarter as they went on to lose 64-43. Olivia Rowedder finished with a team-high 12 points. Katelyn Aden chipped in seven points in the loss. Rowedder also pulled down a team-high seven rebounds. With the loss, Carroll falls to 16-5. The Tigers are back in action on Friday against Gilbert.

The East Sac County Raiders pick up their tenth win of the season with a win over rival South Central Calhoun on Tuesday. Both teams were great on the defensive end of the court, and the second half of the game played a big role in deciding the winner. South Central Calhoun would jump out to close a 9-7 lead going to the second quarter. The Raiders were able to take the lead back in the second quarter as they were able to make adjustments on offense. ESC would lead 22-15 going into the half. Coming out of the locker rooms, SCC cut into the Raiders lead. The Titans would outscore ESC 14-11 in the third quarter. The Raiders would still hold onto a 33-29 lead going to the fourth quarter. ESC stretched their lead in the fourth quarter as they held SCC to two points. The Raiders would go on to win 45-31.
The Raiders had two players score in double figures. Makenna Steiger shot the ball well, scoring a high 15 points for ESC. Steiger shot 50 percent from the field, going 6-12. Sarah Bontrager chipped in 14 points. Addisen Ehler was outstanding on the glass, pulling down 23 rebounds. South Central Calhoun struggled to shoot the ball, making only ten shots from the floor. Bre Patterson scored a team-high 11 points and pulled down seven rebounds. Sadie Wheelock chipped in eight points for SCC.
With the win, East Sac County moves to 10-11. The Raiders are back in action on Tuesday against IKM-Manning to open postseason play. The loss drops South Central Calhoun to 9-12. The Titans are back in action on Saturday against Lawton-Bronson to open postseason play at home.
