Carroll At Waukee
Carroll had an outstanding day, qualifying six events for the State meet with two events seeded as the number one seed. The Tigers broke five school records on the day, helping them finish in 4th place with 227 points, beating Lewis Central, which finished 5th with 208 points.
Teagen Renze had a huge day with three new school records and being named District Athlete of the Year. Renze won the 200 free, qualifying for State with a New School Record of 1:38.79. He is seeded number one at the State Meet. He added another school record in the 400 Free Relay, swimming a 45.08 as the lead leg, helping them qualify for State with a 4th place finish. The team consisted of Renze, Weston Toft, Landen Cadwell and Leegan Sease with a time of 3:20.07. Renze broke another school record in the 100 Back with a 49.71, taking 1st on Saturday. He is seeded at the top seed heading to State. Leegan Sease qualified in the 100 Fly, breaking the school record with a 51.21, finishing in 3rd. He is seeded 7th at State. Leegan will be seeded 4th in the 100 Breast, winning the event with a New School Record of 57.23. The 200 Free Relay is the final event to qualify for State, making it with a 4th place finish with Leegan Sease, Weston Toft, Jordan Wilson and Teagen Renze. They swam a 1:29.97.
