Carroll led early, but Ballard grabbed a lead in the 2nd quarter and went on to defeat the Tigers for the second time this season. Carroll built a 12-10 lead at the end of the 1st quarter,r but Ballard outscored them 16-10 in the 2nd quarter to lead at the half. The Tigers had chances in the 4th quarter, down 43-38, but weren’t able to cut the lead, and Ballard stretched the lead late. Noah Hinners led three players in double figures with 12 points with Jared Mohr adding 11 points and Mac Collison scoring 10 points. Mohr had 10 rebounds with 7 steals. Stone Sibenaller had 9 points, and Carter Essick added 9 points. Carroll falls to 7-10 and will head to Denison Schleswig on Saturday.

The Kuemper Knights traveled to Shenandoah on Friday and picked up a big conference win. The Knights opened the game on a big run, building a lead early. Shenandoah cut into the Kuemper lead in the second quarter, outscoring the Knights 22-19. The Knights were able to grow their lead coming out of the locker room. They outscored Shenandoah 28-11, building an 83-50 lead. Kuemper’s defense picked up in the fourth quarter as they held Shenandoah to only six points. The Knights would pick up a blowout 100-56 win on the road over Shenandoah. Five players scored in double figures for Kuemepr. Dylan Schon had a team-high 26 points off the bench. Schon also added 10 rebounds in the win. Ryan Clair added 23 points and knocked down two threes. Carson Kanne picked up a double-double with 13 points and 10 assists. Brock Badding chipped in 11 points for the Knights. Jack Badding recorded 10 points and five rebounds. With the win, Kuemper moves to 19-1. The Knights are back in action on Tuesday against St. Albert.

Audubon poured in 26 points in the 1st quarter, building a comfortable lead on their way to a big win. The Wheelers dropped a hard breaker to the Panthers earlier this season but didn’t let LoMa back into the game. The Wheelers led 26-13 going to the 2nd quarter and were up 34-20 at half. Oliver Deist paced the offense with 15 points with Brody Schultes scoring 11 points, Mason Steckler had 13 points as they had three players in double figures. Austin Christensen ended up with 8 points. The Wheelers head to AHSTW on Tuesday with a 10-10 record.

Ar-We-Va jumped out early but Glidden Ralston rallied to make it a game in the 1st half on Friday. The Rockets led 12-2 at the end of the 1st quarter but the Wildcats outscored them 18-12 in the 2nd quarter to trail 24-20 at half. Three Rockets scored in double figures to help them extend the lead in the 3rd and hold off a strong offensive 4th quarter by the Wildcats, who had four players in double figures.
Wyatt Ragaller paced the Rockets with 20 points, Blayne Smith 19 points and 11 rebounds with Tyson VonGlan adding 10 points and 10 rebounds.
Colby Wallace almost had a double-double to lead the Wildcats, finishing with 15 points and 9 rebounds. Jonathan Bergmeier added 13 points and 5 rebounds with Waylon Hein had 12 points and Dawson Majerus finished with 10 points and 7 rebounds.
Ar-We-Va improves to 14-5 and hosts CAM on Monday. Glidden Ralston falls to 10-10 overall and will head to Coon Rapids Bayard on Monday.

The Coon Rapids-Bayard Crusaders bounced back after a loss on Thursday with a conference win over Boyer Valley. The game started out physical and close. The Crusaders were able to jump out to an early lead in the first quarter at 17-14. CRB was able to grow its lead in a low-scoring second quarter. The Crusaders would lead 30-26 at the half. In the second half, CRB would continue to build on their lead. Coon Rapids-Bayard would start sharp on offense in the third quarter. CRB outscored Boyer Valley 15-14 in the quarter. The fourth quarter was the difference in the game as the Crusaders picked up the defensive pressure. CRB would hold Boyer Valley to four points in the quarter as they added 19. CRB would go on to win 64-44.
Three players scored in double digits for Coon Rapids-Bayard. Cal Heydon scored a team-high 23 points in the win. As a team, the Crusaders picked up 14 steals. Ty Heydon recorded another double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds. Caden Oswald chipped in 17 points, sevan assists, and six steals for the Crusaders. With the win, CRB moves to 18-2. They are back in action on Monday against Glidden-Ralston.

The East Sac County Raiders struggled to shoot the basketball on Friday as they fell at home to Southeast Valley. The game was a tight battle through the four quarters. Southeast Valley would jump out to an early lead. ESC would fall behind in a low-scoring first quarter, 8-6. Southeast Valley grew their lead in the second quarts, outscoring ESC 10-7. The Raiders would trail 18-13 at the half. The Raiders came out sharp on the offended end of the floor in the third quarter as they were able to cut into the SE Valley lead. The Raiders outscored Southeast Valley 16-14. The Raiders would trail 32-29 going to the fourth quarter. The fourth quarter was back and forth. The Raiders would fall just short of a comeback, losing 46-42. Sam Julin knocked down seven threes in the loss and scored a team-high 24 points. Jack Gullett chipped in 11 points for the Raiders. With the loss, ESC falls to 7-12. The Raiders are back in action on Thursday against Ridge View.

IKM-Manning had a rough night shooting from deep and wasn’t able to keep up with ASHTW, falling by a final of 68-46. The Wolves were 5-19 from beyond the three point line and went 5-11 from the free throw line. They started well, taking a 16-14 lead after the 1st quarter but weren’t able to continue the strong offensive play into the 2nd quarter as the Vikings poured in 20 points and held IKM-Manning to 9. The Wolves trailed by nine at half and were down nineteen after three quarters. Turnovers allowed the Vikings to have extra possessions during their 2nd and 3rd quarter spurts. The Wolves turned it over sixteen times while making four steals.
Ben Ramsey had a team high 16 points with 7 rebounds. Ashton Ahrenholtz had a team high 11 rebounds while scoring 7 points, Wyatt Danner added 8 points.
The Wolves fall to 9-11 overall and will head to MVAOCOU on Monday to wrap up the regular season.

South Central Calhoun went ice cold in the 2nd half as the Cougars outscored them 36-15 to pull away for a convincing win. The Titans played well in the 1st half, trailing by ten at half. They allowed a 22 point 2nd quarter that helped the Cougars find a rhythm. The game was blown wide-open in the 3rd quarter. South Central Calhoun was playing their first full game without leading scorer Cole Higgins. Charlie Nattress led the Titans with 19 points with Evan Myers adding 12 points and Andrew Anderson with 5 points. The loss drops the Titans to 11-8 overall as they head to East Sac on Tuesday.
