Girls State Wrestling Results Thursday, February 6th
Three area wrestlers advanced into the medal rounds on Friday with Bri Kiger of Carroll, Macy Rasmussen of Audubon and Emma Daniels of Carroll all going 2-1 on Thursday. Daniels and Rasmussen both earned both their wins by fall advances into the quarterfinals before losing and winning in the 2nd round consolations. Kiger lost her opening round match but recovered to earn a pair of wins by decision, winning 8-4 and 10-9. She rallied with 7 points late in her 2nd round consolation match. Emery Kramer of South Central Calhoun went 1-2, falling in her opening round, then winning her 1st round consolation by fall. Kramer fell to Macy Rasmussen in the 2nd round consolation. Jordan Mulford of Audubon and Meia Hefley of South Central Calhoun both wrestled well but lost in both their matches. They felt they learned a lot in their first matches at State and it will help them in their pursuit to return next season.
